Abi they looted 2.1 billion meant for a so called subsidy 😂😂 The so called public buses are rickety, extremely few and ply an equally extremely few routes. Heck! those very few rickety buses (less than 10) are only found within Ibadan metropolis . Our leaders sure have a place in hell . The last time I went home to see my folks . I used the train and the train stations are located in the outskirts of Ibadan. I saw a very old government bus at the train station waiting to carry passengers to the town and I shook my head . A guy said , he’d rather pay more and use the taxi than enter this coffin looking bus 😂😂 |

How many times have you, yourself enjoyed this so called bus ride that you are defending here even during the time of Ajimobi ,they were not that conspicuous or noticed , so what have they done with that huge amount of money?. happney65: |

Commendable, Tinubu should stop deceiving himself, he will still need to channel the subsidy proceeds to viable ventures like this. |

lexy2014:Must you subsidise petrol....we have turned the corner already and subsidy on that commodity is gone.....there are different forms of subsidy which federal govt is still paying eg electricity tariffs, agric inputs, hiv drugs, cancer and kidney treatment etc,if you say these aren't enough then it's up to you.....basic and secondary education and health care are within the concurrent list in our constitution and more funds for state govts can enable them initiate welfarist programs in these sectors within their states.....we don't have to keep spending humongous amounts to subsidise fuel for the rich to the detriment of the poor. |

Lithiumite:that is not what I asked you. 1. who created the suffering that you say the governors should ameliorate? 2. is this investment in "cheap quality education and health care so people wont have to go spend huge amounts in private institutions thereby freeing up disposable income for many families" not the same thing as paying subsidy? 3. what is the wisdom in "removing" fuel subsidy cos you say it is not sustainable (even though it kept prices down) only to share money for governors to provide the same susbsidies? |

happney65:He is referring to Tinubu's increment of states monthly allocations. Money saved from Subsidy removal is used to increase political offices allocations of states and senatorial constituency allowances funds as well. So, calm down. You both are right. Some of the Oyo transport subsidy was funded by these moneys and as you rightly said, Ajimobi began the reintroduction process of public business transport owned by state. |

If fuel price comes down, transportation will be cheap for everyone. Tinubu government just take food away from peoples table. Nigeria will never survive under expensive energy cost. N900/ litre |

Is this the man who aspires to be president of Nigeria? How do people lie with impunity? N2.1billion in less than 7 months? After all the executive robbery and oppresssion in the name of Park Management System (PMS) that has reduced struggling okada riders and numerous taxi drivers to mere beggars. |

. That word alone angered us and why we didn't support him in 2023. If you want to vie for a political office, don't say what's not real. Before tinubu came, we had LSTC similar to BRT by pa jakande. We didn't thin our roads because of this. Most of those buses were different, longer, more durable and wider than his brt buses. What he simply did was add to them in the name of brt and collapsed our roads.
