Wetin be this ? angry. Their opponents no get sense sha.

When I was still actively playing amateur football, Na me go coordinate how we go collect the ball from them while they are stoopidly showboating.

How can scores be tied at 1-1 and we will watch our opponent do all that nonsense while staying rooted in our own half? Me wey dey run like say I get double engine inside my stomach, by the time we mount serious press they will the ball in their half .
I guess they both qualified and not ready to play on

Oh okay. But If they had both qualified (even if one side is defeated) ,then why didn't the opponents try to tackle them at least for over 2 minutes?

If na Naija one person go don vex kick them where no good o. Especially when those two guys were resting their heads on the ball; omo I go vex dash forward go try to kick the ball while their head is rested on it on the floor. If dem no use stretcher carry dem commot field , make I know wetin cause am! angry

I know u are one of those people who look at a particular sum of money and just assume it should be able to do x, y and z without actually putting a figure to those items. That's why I understand why u are making this kind of assumptions sha. For example, look at u assuming that because "ur dad had security escorts back in the day while worth way lesser than the $2m, that means the $2m can do all of the aforementioned and more over 20 years later" Do u understand time value of money?...... grin grin
There is a reason he is avoiding a cost breakdown of everything he plans to buy as part of the big boys life

‭Revelation 20:7-9 NIV‬
[7] When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison [8] and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. [9] They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

I know he's deliberately avoiding putting a budget to all of the luxuries he's been talking about.

I know he was talking about luxurious lifestyle he was referring to the kind of lifestyle being portrayed by people lik Jowizaza, Obi Cubana and co. The L he is not willing to swallow is that those people are actually worth over $2m he benchmarked in his post and that's the reason why they can afford those lifestyle.

He is trying to co-opt people who didn't follow the discussion from inception to help him turn amala and change goalpost but e no dey turn well. Can u please borrow him ur turning stick? grin

Not at all, bro. I wasn’t even thinking about those people when I made that post. Honestly, if you hadn’t mentioned their names now, I wouldn’t have remembered they existed.

It’s not that I’m turning amala, it’s just clear that you, Raumdeuter, and a few others are deliberately choosing to miss the core of my argument. What Chief Oluwunl01 said earlier already settled the matter.

Sometimes, it’s just good to follow the person who knows the road, so you don’t end up in the gutter. Blueray my man, there's nothing wrong with admitting you're wrong. Swallow this L in peace, and stop trying to shift it.

Anyone who isn’t pushing an agenda knows that $2M is more than enough to live like a king in most parts of Nigeria, outside of Lagos and Abj. It’s not even up for debate.

Oya put a price to the luxury lifestyle u have been talking about. Tell us how many luxury cars one should own to live the kind of luxurious lifestyle u are referring to, give us the number of security escort vehicles u will have and put a price to it.

Why are u running away from putting a price to ur imagination? If u can think it, u can put a price to it can't u?

Chief Olawni10 also didn't tell us how he will spend the $2m beyond placing it in TBills. He said the Tbills will fetch an annual income of $200k but what he's not saying is that a 2024 Landcruiser Prado costs around that same amount.

So if u use this year's annual income off ur $2m investment to buy a luxury car, where will the funds for u to live the luxurious lifestyle for the reminder of the year come from?

Elder, U either want to come forward with an intelligent plan on how to realize this luxurious lifestyle u dream about or just keep trolling.

Format your statement properly cos I am trying to reason this Math

The cost of top end vehicles in Lagos is not different from outside Lagos, Same as electronics and gadgets, same as travels
The main difference between cost of living in New York, Lagos and village is cost of Labor

Arthur Eze G-wagon in Enugu will not be cheaper than Otedola G-wagon in Lagos

To live like a big boy break down how much you spend on high end cars alone plus cost of travels, cost of gadgets and other things that show you to be a big boy and lets see how much of the $2m remain
Sorry I messed up the formatting.

House N500M - GRA/Other Top Estate in Ibadan, Abeokuta even cheaper, getting to lagos is easy most times.

Cars - 500m, This amount is for showy peeps, simple person like me a lexus GX or LX is more than sufficient, you can get a hilux pickup for N100M.

Others N500m - lifestyle expenses incl OS

N2B invested in TBills I believe current rate is 19%, last year was higher. $200k returns...

Example Business class return Ticket to the abroad depending on location & season $10k, so plenty change go remain.

Note, taste and lifestyle vary, as someone who is considering semi-retiring to Naija, Ikoyi & Lekki won't be a top choice location for me.

Oga - he won't be buying car every year now? He can trade in if he desires to be changing cars yearly.
Chief $2M is a lot of money anywhere in the world, and sufficient to buy you elite priviledges within reason.

What you listed above puts you in upper class mode not in god mode that the original poster wrote in his post quoted below. A single G-Wagon or Cybertruck will almost consume the 500m
For example Cubana chief priest bought 1 Range rover for his wife and the cost was about $250K according to Naija blogs. So the cost of delivery to Nigeria you can imagine how that will end up being. Now to live in godmode, you wont have just 1 luxury vehicle, you probably need 2 or 3 of similar cars to be in godmode. Now how much will that be
before we go to the regular Hilux for escort cars

That business class ticket abroad will it be for only him or he wont have a family that are also travelling business class with him plus the hotel and how many times this godmode big boy make such trips in a year. Do you know how much eat at best places when you travel will cost and do you think the expense you described will get you VIP treatment everywhere in Nigeria even before talking of abroad?

Now when you spend that $2m, how much of it will be left

TemporaryHansel:
Here in Nigeria, $2 million puts you in god mode. You’re hiring staff, living in a mansion in a high brow area, riding in a convoy with drivers, security, and assistants. You eat at the “best” places, travel when you want, get VIP treatment everywhere, and flex on half the country without breaking a sweat.

In the bold u are saying $2m will buy u elite privileges within reason. You have described someone who would lowkey enjoy good life to a certain degree.

However, that is not what Elder whom u are backing refered to in his initial post that led to the discussion. Below are his own words:

So yeah, $2M in Nigeria can move as loud as $200m in the US, because here, money doesn’t just buy comfort, it buys power, attention, and untouchability (It all depends on if you know how to use the money though)
He claims $2m buys you power , attention and untouchability. Do you agree with him based on what u have analyzed in your own post up there?

Do u think $2m puts u in god mode in Nigeria?

By the time you take that $2m to set up the lifestyle you described which is far from god mode, How much will be left to live on for the rest of his life even with 18% returns on Tbills

If the items he listed are what he means by god mode then yes, cos thats majority of Naija upper class lifestyle, however if he meant then Obi Cubana or Burnaboy, Politicians lifestyle then NO.

Elite connections are not neccessary based on having money, although having money could help to put you in close proximity.

I doubt ur acquaintance is right on this .

In the oil and gas industry , most if not all of the equipment are imported from abroad . How will employees import substandard products/ equipment when they have the mandate to buy from international suppliers of repute ?

They will get proforma invoice from the manufactures , open form M, LC’s , have their banks and the suppliers banks sort out payment terms and all. All of these processes have control. Some of those equipment even pass through SON ( standard organization of Nigeria ) .

If they were buying from local market, I would agree with this line of thought. Those international suppliers they purchase from abroad have a reputation to uphold .

The fact that Dangote actually uses Indians as top management staff makes this line of thought kinda unbelievable. Those Indians will fire anybody that appears incompetent or becomes a liability in the team without bating an eyelid
We bought over 2,700 hectares of land, which is 7 times the size of Victoria Island in Lagos. One prominent company, which I should not name, supplied us with faulty equipment, which I believe was intentional and set us back two years in starting the refinery.

- Aliko Dangote said today at ongoing Global Commodity Insights Conference on West African Refined Fuel Markets.

I don't know the meaning of God mode. Anything over $500k puts you in the upper class in Nigeria. $2M liquid (not including value of the house you live in) puts you in the upper class in most places in the world, including most cities in the United States.
