It's the husband fault. Some women have no respect... will abuse their man ... lose their temper easily and have no problem hitting him ... strongly believing the man will not hit back because a man is not suppose to hit a woman period.[I/i] If she is this type of woman...then the man should've known before marriage. If he didn't...his fault. Then it could be the man is just used to beating women .... resetting them with hot slaps ...which I guess didn't work so e moved up a notch ...punches. That's his fault....to beat a woman into submission. I'm almost sure this abuse was discussed before but the guy just can't help himself. His fault. The in laws most likely ran out of words and turned to action ....after all ....[i]actions speak louder than words. Is she now going to bully him?...knowing she can count on her brothers to check him? If he going to control his hands and live in fear of the in laws? What's for sure ... the marriage is not going to be the same ... either gets better or worse.

Do you know what is called reflex action? Like fly wanting to enter your eyes, you quickly close it. I repeat, no mater how self controlled you think you are, pray you don't reach your elastic limit. Even you that is preaching not to beat a woman no matter what won't even know when you land her slap as a reflex act.

There are men who have lived their entire lives without ever hitting a woman, and yes, many of them at many points experienced toxic individuals never lifting a finger in retaliation, even then.

I have never slapped a human being in my entire life. I didn't develop such reflexes are reactions to being slapped, and yes, I have been slapped more than I would have liked, particularly back in Nigeria.

I warned all my in-laws beforehand that they should never beat my sisters no matter her offence. It's better you return her to us in one piece than beating her. I'll use every possible means to retaliate any day any of them beat up my sisters.

The wife left the house with the brother after he and his friends beat up her husband when she reported to the brother.

Two days later, the husband went to the family home and later to the igwe palace to report the matter.

The matter was later settled by the igwe and the wife followed the husband back home, but........ The marriage never remain the same.

Unintelligent set of people. How can you go to someone's matrimonial home and start beating him up. Since when have they turned to the court of law or police that is saddled with the responsibility of maintaining law and order. If the guy knows his way through the court, they will all have their time behind bars before domestic violence issue is being mentioned in the court.

When they get to the police, they will hear this is an act to deliberately Constituting public nuisance and an act capable of creating public disturbance also causing bodily harm or an attempt to murder the suspect . Breaking into someone's home unlawfully etc
