It’s a BURKINA FASO VIPER 😫

It's not a Gaboon viper but a common snake within Nigeria. Different people have uploaded this snake specie on nairaland but I can't remember the specific name.

It is venomous yes.

Is a Rhombic night adder viper...Venom yes, but not very fatal and no documented death from the venom.

Telescopus fallax it's an European cat snake it's very poisonous family of the vipers no let am bit u oo

Adder or Viper, I no know.
All I know is that this snake is tasty to eat.

they can be found in Africa that's not a viper tho ......look at the scale pattern it's a night adder the scale of a night adder is light while the European cat snake own is grey same pattern but one is lighter than the other

There was a time I went to play ball and while going, I had to wait for a friend while I roll a blunt. I stood beside this snake for more than 30mins before I got to know. I even stepped on it while blowing, yet I didn't know. The snake didn't react. This is probably the most gentle snake on earth..

I have killed this particular snake up to 10 times in my compound
I am tired of it, I have done everything to prevent snake from entering the compound but nothing is working
