Nairaland is a boring as NTA news and as juvenile and a YouTube kids.

A platform for propaganda, disinformation and illiteracy.

This platform is unwittingly aligning itself with the unprofessionalism and intellectual laziness of the police and people.

That someone a girl dies in your house with no market of physical violence or struggle, so the police cannot do an independent autopsy to determine course of death?

A 16 year-old girl died in a man's house and the man was never arrest in Brazil. Police simply came and no prima facie case of murder and they took the body for autopsy which disclosed that the girl had heat problems.

God save this country.
oga, Nigeria is not Brazil.

If that happens to you, e don be for you be that. Woman no dey sleep for my house now after I saw what one guy went though when his girlfriend who suffered epilepsy died in his house. The girl family denied that the girl did had any any illness, that the guy killed their daughter. The guy died in police custody while suffering and the useless family later agreed that their daughter was epileptic.

The advice is not merely for babes that you don't know, but also the ones you claim you know. If your girlfriend or wife ends up dead in the same house as you, the experience is very similar or pretty much the same. undecided
So, if your wife dies in your house you would be arrested?

Na wa for your brain ooo

You'll spend not less than 6 months in jail pending till they solve the case. And in a country like Nigeria, just know that you might be on trial for years.

Both genders should have sexual discipline and not be sleeping with random people.
It happened to a friend but he was lucky the girls family weren't keen on pressing charges.....the girl was asthmatic and she left school to come lay over at my friend's but didn't make it till the next morning, only God knew what happened.....but he saved my guys arse but police still chop correct despite family not willing to press charges.

This is 2025! Engage your brain, abeg!😏

If a person, even your wife, dies in your house, you will be interogated/questioned— or at least should —in the case she did not die of natural causes, i.e., old age. If any suspicious detail is found, you will more than likely be arrested and maybe even prosecuted. undecided

How can a dead wife be an issue now? She's a wife not a side chick or hook up babe. As long as there has been no record of domestic violence the body of the dead does not have questionable scars nothing will happen. But I forbid anyone becoming a widow or a widower in their prime. Amen

Better go deposit drink to her papa as per introduction if you really want to marry her. When yawa gas, they will deny knowing you.
One came to my house last year and developed stomach problem after taking coke and egg roll she bought along the way.
I gat call her mama immediately against her wish to inform her that she came with the coke that caused the stomach issue. No be me una go put for prison.

All due to inefficiency on the part of lazy police investigations

There must be a cause of death

In advance countries

That is why the legal system here is still backwards sadly.

An angry wife called her husband on phone.

WIFE : Hello, where the hell are you?

HUSBAND : Honey, you remember that jewelry shop where you saw that diamond necklace and you totally fell in love with it? (The wife relaxed with a smile).

WIFE : Yes, the king of my heart. I do remember.

HUSBAND : And you remember I did not have money that day and I told you 'honey that necklace will be yours one day'? (The wife is totally relaxed with a big smile and even blushing).

WIFE : Yes, I remember my one and only love.

HUSBAND : Good. I am in the beer parlour next to that shop.😂😂😂😂.

This is seriously

Its a profound shame, my brother. The country has become a cesspool of idiots who grab at any opportunity to make money.

A girl dying in a man's house, doesn't necessarily mean the man murdered her. Okay bro, that's for rational thinking Nigerians, but heck, you and I both know Nigeria is almost now devoid of rational thinking people.

If such a scenerio plays out. The police will frustrate the living day light out of the man. Engineer the girls family in other to use it as a ruse to get money out of the man, even if they know the man is innocent, they still won't burge. They will extort the man and his family and when they're tired of milking the man and his family, they will now push the case to court. Even if there is no prima facie case and no actus reus mens ria, they will still charge the matter to court.

Our police are a bunch of hungry, wild looking hyenas, who feed on themselves without even giving a damn! All they care about is, as long as they make money, they're fine and okay.

The death of a girlfriend or a casual female acquaintance in a man's house? Yes that spells trouble.

The death of a wife in the same house with her husband? This isn't the same as the above. Once there are no obvious signs of foul play and the woman's family is satisfied that she wasn't murdered, the man will probably be released to bury his wife. But then again, this is Nigeria so anything can happen.

It's not only women, if your room mate who's a guy like you dies, you will still have questions to answer.
And also, is the high ranking officer saying if he commits robbery outside he will rescue him than when a girl dies in his house

I don't follow your logic at all!😏

If there are no signs of foul play in the case that the girl was a girlfriend or acquaintance, what legal troubles could come from that?😐😐😐

This happened to a friend of mine.
A lady visited him, and when the time up for her to leave he was not happy and start persuading the lady to stay overnight but she insisted she had to leave. Few hours later we received a call the lady died in the car as a result of asthma attack. Before she passed on they said she was searching her bag for her in hailer but couldn’t find it. Only God knows if sleeping overnight would spare her life or put my friend is a big mess.

My friends late mother a then high ranking police woman once said, what they want to hear in cases of eg fraud is you suceeded and not attempted or failed.
With suceeded, it is sharing of money, settlement and no jail, but with attempted or failed, them no wan see your face, na jail streight! grin
