What you're saying is not related to custom duty, Jonathan never increased duty by 23℅ neither did Buhari that's why prices of goods were stable unlike Tinubu who increased duty three times in a calendar year which made prices of imported goods tripled in two years.
Between 2014 to 2022 prices of things were increasing gradually not jumped by 200℅ overnight.

I was telling my last week Wednesday at a park near our house , that thing are more expensive in Nigeria when compare to America and it was this exponential increase of 200% that made me say so .

She argued that things are also expensive in the USA . The I gave instance of spaghetti she likes eating anytime she comes visit me that back in 2015 , it was sold for #2100 for a full pack , then 10yrs later it sold for #2400+ . But here in the when we check an item sold at a certain amount back in 2015 till 2025 there was a slight increase when compared to us .

That was when it done on her , that I was making a point .
Tinubu really finish us , but to be honest Goodlick Jonathan with his slow nature gave them ( APC) a chance to threat us like this .
