He only wants a yesman already programmed by virtue of his academic background in the art of following instructions to the letter and not an astute politician who might be working covertly for the North.

I am not a fan of Tinubu but even his political enemies know him as one of the most calculative politicians alive. He doesn't take a step without a deeply calculated political motive that would benefit him in the long run.

This is one of the reasons he usually goes out of his way to ensure he never picks an El-Rufai, Wike, Saraki or Aregbesola personality whenever it is time to pick the next Lagos governor since he left office in 1999. If he had made such an unforgivable political error in judgement, he would have lost control of Lagos a long time ago.

It is not a coincidence that he is the only 1999 governor still controlling his "kingdom" since the return to the present civil rule 26 years ago. So picking this relatively unknown and inexperienced politician is all part of a well-planned political chess move by Tinubu.

The only thing is, if Tinubu was more interested in developing Nigeria the way he is in the art of politicking, Nigeria would have been one of the best places on earth.
