My wife and I had some misunderstanding that resulted in heated arguments. With the intervention of some elders, the issue was sort of resolved. However, weeks later, I observed that my wife changed the way she saved my number on her phone from "Hubby" to "Dele - Airtel" (not real name, but something like this - assuming I worked in Airtel).  Was chatting on Whatsapp just two days ago when my banny walked in and asked me who I was chatting with, cuz the way I focused on my phone wasn't it at all.....she tried to collect the phone from me but I refused and the next thing,she kept malice with me all through the rest of that day  . But I no really send her papa  I knew hell would have been let lose if I had given her the phone cuz what I was doing at that moment was very close to cheating even tho I was only kinda playing around  She tried to claim right,that I was hiding something away from her by not giving her my phone to see who I was chatting with,but I held my ground  . Then I asked her,have I ever checked or asked to check your phone before,even tho I know you will never be innocent? . She couldn't give me a reply....and that was what brought calmness upon her nerves.Op,the truth is that, checking each other's phones especially couples or would-be couples is a nice thing,but it's only advisable to those who have strong hearts 215 Likes 13 Shares |

Sonnobax15:I faced something similar in the past with an ex. She was home when I returned from work. I left my phone on the kitchen counter, stepped in to take a shower and a short nap came over me in the bedroom cos I was already tired from work. I was asleep in the bedroom when she suddenly woke me up, saying " Yes, I've caught you red-handed, one of your girlfriends just texted you because your phone has a blue light blinking. ". I always see the blinking blue light, but never even paid much attention to what it meant or nothing. The phone I had then blinked whenever there was notifications - could be texts, whatshapp messages, emails etc. I just never cared about the blinking lights, I checked my messages whenever I had the time to. She woke me up and was behind me to see who the sender was. No texts, no whatshap messages, it was junk email messages in one of my emails addresses I used for junk mails. I just handed the phone to her to read all the junk messages she thought came from other girls and went back to sleep. She had my phone through the night and it didn't bother me.
