Kwankwaso is a man!
You create your own stuff no matter how little, then use it as a bargaining chip to collaborate with others.

Orji Ukor Kalu lost everything in presidential prospect when he gave up his homegrown APP party, instead of using it as a bargaining chip to power. APP would have spread to other Eastern states by now, and would have paved the way for him as president, in fact, he would have probably been president before or after Buhari.

Kwankwaso would be the next president to come from Northern Nigeria as long as he doesn't defect to APC now. He can do that later when and if APC offer him the presidential ticket, and if APC is still viable.

I know understand the purpose of kwankwasso's visit to Aso Rock. It's to negotiate with PBAT to allow him to be the Presidential candidate of APC come 2031 not for him to be his VP come 2027 so he can move nis kwankwasiyya cult to APC/ adopt APC in 2027 presidential elections . However Tinubu didn't agree on reasons best known to him . Because of this disagreement, he choose to criticizedTinubu after leaving the ASO ROCK, had it been they reached agreement, he would have been praising the PBAT.

That singular action has become Tinubu's albatross in the North. No Northern leader with ambition trusts him after that and the Northern electorates see him as a betrayer who doesn't keep his words. In the end, he gained nothing from that action but lost a lot.
