Wike should have the tickets nah. His conscience of contesting against Tinubu is judging him. Lol. He should test his popularity let's see how far he can go in national election. |

drstranged:Is Wike afraid of contesting against Tinubu?? That guy singlehandedly killed and rubbished PDP with his greediness and high-handedness. That's why people like Dave Umahi don't like him at all and can never be in same party with him. Wike is too bossy and treacherous. PDP will never make headway as long as his presence and "I am the boss" attitude is there with them. A party that ruled for 16 years is now looking like Accord and Boot party. Shame !!! |

drstranged:Best thing for Tinubu is for PDP to present Bala Mohammed |
| Re: PDP Choses Ibadan For National Convention, Picks November 15 by AMINDA: 4:40am On Jul 25, 2025 |
raumdeuter:If they zone it to the North. It will singlehandedly water down all the cries of "it's the turn of the South" and neutralize APC's main campaign point against Atiku. Bala Mohammed will not sway significant Northern voters enough to do any serious damage to Atiku. Not even Kwankwaso can. On the other hand, zoning it to the South will definitely hurt Tinubu's chances. The Seyi Makinde arrangement was preplanned with the assumption that Atiku will contest the PDP primaries. It has backfired and Makinde appears determined to forge ahead. If Makinde ends up endorsing Tinubu after winning the ticket, the elections will immediately take a "North vs South" dimension and Atiku will still have the advantage of numbers. |

DEROX:Education has always been free to a large extent in Oyo state since the return of democracy. I attended a government secondary school in that same Oyo during Ladoja’s time and I didn’t pay. Ladoja introduced 30 students per class and unbundled the schools . He divided the big schools into 2 or 3 for example for easy administration. School 1 and 2 with separate administrators. He also employed more teachers and rebuilt the dilapidated schools while also equipping them . The golden period for public schools in Oyo was between 2003 and 2011. Some public schools were competing favourably with private schools in Ibadan . Kids were leaving the private schools after jss3 to attend the schools of science ( I was one of those). My school even had 30minutes or an hour on BCO.S/NTA every week showing our teachers teaching science . During Ajimobi’s time, WAEC and tuition were also free. They only paid dev levy , PTA and extra lesson which were not more than 3k cumulatively. Are the schools better now that they are no longer paying those levies Definitely NOTI was ashamed the last time I was at my secondary school. It was the venue of the federal government scholarship exam when I was in the UNI. It looked like an abandoned war camp. I couldn’t believe that was the place I had just left 5 years prior. See those levies were used to pay the employed PTA teachers to augment the government employed ones . The useless government stopped all of that and still couldn’t fill the void . Seyi Makinde’s has tried according to his capacity but it is well below par . The metropolis is always filled with thrash anytime I go home to see my folks . See what Ajimobi did with the environment . What about security ? Don’t even get me started on that . Ajimobi did wonders with Operation Burst . While I agree Seyi is likeable and less confrontational, in terms of governance he hasn’t outperformed Ajimobi . PS: I understand the National economy was largely better during Ladoja and Ajimobi’s time . So that could have impacted on Seyi’s performance |
