The only choice to removing Tinubu today is Obi running as president. If you really want Tinubu gone, you'll push for Obi-El Rufai esnbrutality: |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by esnbrutality: 7:16pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
Does El Rufai have the required spread? I ask, why do people hate Atiku .is it because of the persistent propaganda by TINUBUs SW brethren, media and lackeys against Atiku? Remember this SOLID fact... SW hates any Northerner that has a good rapport with IGBOs. They hate IBB Abacha ... .but love BUHARI. That should show you that the best bet is ATIKU. El-rufai will do the damage underneath....let Atiku /PO be the benchmark. Nuff said DMerciful: |

Obi has to be president. If you say ObiAtiku, I dont have a problem with that. I put El Rufai because he will be willing to deputize Obi and he is a strong candidate esnbrutality: |

Gerhards:It is the turn of the south. Atiku failed to support Obi in 2023, when it was turn of the south. In PDP, the southeast voted for sw, nw, ss, ne, but when it came to the SE turn Atiku betrayed the SE in 2033 If Atiku runs in 2027, the southeast will no longer respect the zoning agreement in 2031 |

![]() El Rufai is a strong candidate. Atiku is a stronger candidate. Atiku/PO will be incharge and El-rufai will have a very strategic position. The Atiku/PO package has spread and acceptability. ![]() DMerciful: |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by esnbrutality: 7:53pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
Turn of the South was coined by the same people marginalizing the same South now. Leave Propaganda chants. What they did to Jonathan should be done to them. Even BUHARI they praised against IGBOs and their kin was insulted severely by the same people. Let me tell you a firm truth. If Tinubu was IGBO with Shettima as VP, being a Northerner. The South West will jettison the Southern Unity mantra and vote for a Northern opposition candidate instantly. The major issue here is that Yoruba betrayed southern UNITY for their interest. SE should also do so for their own interests.. simple OfoIgbo: |

Let me make it abundantly clear to you, Obi will never be vice again rather he will not contest. Obi has said he will be contesting for the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. Even the Obidients have zero chance of accepting Obi as vp esnbrutality: |

lebienconnu:First of all there's nothing like south How many southerners have been appointed to this administration compared to north? So how does all this talk of south come into play when the SE and SW are permanently at each other's neck |

DMerciful:But when did Elrufai ever tell you funny folks that he wants to be Vice to Obi? Sentiments apart, you guys really want Elrufai to be the country's no2 man? Really? |

Kukutente23:I repeat, no blackmail will work. So find another tactic. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by Kukutente23: 8:23pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
jmoore:There's no blackmail here The surest route to kicking out APC is for Atiku and Obi to work together. Atiku cannot be Vice again. If Obi knows he can't be Vice to Atiku, his best bet is not to run. If he runs, you can be rest assured he will not win and he will be used as buffer to rig just as was done in 2023. That's the cold, hard fact you need to kiss |

Kukutente23:Go back to school and learn English. Obi did not tell him before he left PDP does not negate Atiku telling him he wasn’t going to be his VP. That’s why you fail exams and interviews….poor English comprehension. Atiku told him he wasn’t going to be his VP and Obi then leaving without telling Atiku are perfectly valid events that can coexist. I saw the interview myself where a top PDP member said that was the reason Obi left PDP. The interview was in the last month or so. The PDP member was narrating the genesis of the problem in PDP. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by jmoore(m): 8:38pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
Kukutente23:Obi will run for president and there's nothing you can do about it. Why didn't Atiku win since he has been contesting for decades? Dem no use am as buffer to rig? Una blackmail is very ridiculous. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by jmoore(m): 8:41pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
casualobserver:From Atiku to top PDP member. See confusion. Produce a video by Atiku making such claim. Una propaganda dey childish. |

Either Peter Obi run as VP or main presidential candidate, one thing is certain. He will defeat Tinubu for the second time and send Tinubu back to Lagos. |

casualobserver:It is you who needs to learn English properly and be well informed before you start blowing air. There's something called conjunctive reasoning. Atiku was asked if Obi consulted him before leaving the party and he replied that he was not aware that Obi was leaving the party. Here you are claiming that a "top" PDP member told you that Atiku told Obi he wasn't going to make him Vice in 2022 when the primaries were yet to hold. Same election cycle when Obi ventured out for the presidency on his own! During the 2023 campaigns Obi referred to Atiku as his boss not once but twice and even more. More importantly, the first public function where they met, Obi went over and knelt to greet Atiku. Does the above scenario sound like one of animosity or rejection to you? Are you aware Yahaya Bello went on TV and claimed Tinubu was Buhari's preferred candidate for the primaries? I'm sure Yahaya Bello will qualify as a top APC member. Do you agree with his claim? |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by Kukutente23: 8:55pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
jmoore:Then be ready to congratulate Tinubu on the night of the elections. This things are not hard. You simply can't have it both ways |

jmoore:If Segun Showunmi said on TV that Obi was lobbying to be Atiku’s VP in 2022 and Atiku told Obi that he would not be his VP and as a result Obi left PDP, then I believe. This was before the primaries even started. Segun showunmi knows everything about what transpired. For him to say so on Tv, I believe him. Google Segun Showunmi’s interviews of recent on YouTube , (within the last 3 weeks) in one of them you will find where he said so. |

casualobserver:Peter Obi left PDP for the following reasons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXgWZWBcWz0 1. Wike was in Anambra and boldly told the delegate that Obi cannot win in any primaries in PDP 2. Atiku was looking for a vp with deep pocket, so the options were Okowa or Wike. Obi was a distant 3rd. 3. PDP threw the primaries open as against their mutual understanding of North/South divide. |
| Re: Peter Obi's Only Route To Presidency by casualobserver: 1:23am On Jul 26, 2025*. Modified: 2:14am On Jul 26, 2025 |
Validated:Oga all this one you are saying, Obi had already left the party. He left before primaries. He left before Atiku got the ticket so points 2 and 3 are invalid. The infamous PDP list of VPs arose after Atiku won the primaries by which time Obi had left. Obi was not on the list because he had left. You are confusing yourself, the 3 man VP list had nothing to do with Obi it was about how Wike was dropped in favour of Okowa. Can’t remember who the 3rd person was but it wasn’t Obi……possibly Ihedioha! Just like everybody else I thought he wanted to run for presidency under PDP. Don’t forget many people pick nomination forms for presidential primaries but are really after other positions. I was also shocked myself when Sowunmi revealed that actually no he wanted to be Atiku’s VP just like in 2019 and sought confirmation from Atiku before the primaries. If I recall correctly (I searched briefly for the video but gave up). Atiku’s words to Obi (according to Sowunmi) was “I can’t guarantee you the Vp slot” and the next day Obi withdrew from the primaries and resigned. Segun Sowunmi said in the last 3 weeks that Atiku told Obi, he wasn’t picking him for VP. Obi was never really contesting for presidency under PDP. He wanted to be Atiku’s Vice. Make of it what you may I am simply saying what Sowunmi who was a key player in the events said on TV. You are free to believe or not or you are free to think it was because of Wike. I am inclined to believe Sowunmi because no he was in the know and no one has come out to contradict him. I have spent enough time on the matter believe what you want. Like I said anyone who is interested can search for Sowunmi interviews on Google over the last 3 weeks, max 1 month. I gave up because his interviews are many and all long and not worth the effort for me just to find the exact minute. Obi supporters may be more motivated to comb through the videos to verify, though most of them prefer the believe what they want and probably won’t. I know what I heard. Either way I am not wasting anymore energy on the matter. Particular lot also because even if I do Obi supporters will still argue….so why bother? It’s not like I am dealing with rational people! He left because he knew Atiku would get the ticket and would not pick him as VP. I can understand why Atiku decided not to pick him because In 2019, PDP actually got less votes in the SE than in 2015 with OBi on the ticket so since he didn’t have any followership outside the SE, it was a logical conclusion at the time that he didn’t add any value to his ticket….no votes, no money. An understandable stance at the time, no one could realistically have predicted that Obi would capture the ENDSARS vote as well. Good night! By the way, Obi’s best chance is probably to return to PDP.
