Seems this is a new development,am in Abia,had my 2 vehicles with Lagos lincense renewed mid last year and December last year, the link just showed the expiration date of last year but the new expiration date of 2024 did not display.

What's the implication of driving a vehicle registered plate number outside of Lagos state but a message was sent to my dad that his vehicle
License has expired?

He has been renewing his vehicle papers in the state he resides all this years.

Checking the link in the message my dad received, it says vehicle licence expired 13th December 2024

If you have a Lagos plate number that you have been renewing outside Lagos, visit http://verify.autoreg.ng/ and key in your plate number therein, to confirm if the expiry date tallies with the one written on the current license you have.

Casually ran my plate number on the site and it says it doesn't exist. I have renewed every year outside Lagos

It was a network glitch. It opened later but said it expired in May 2024 which tallies with when I renewed it again in my current location

Though this post is yet to tell us why renewals on Lagos plate numbers outside Lagos is not impacting on the Autoreg platform, mine is showing license expired in 2023, I have been paying yearly for renewals.

My documents are uptodate. It has been since I got this car with the Lagos number. I do not live or drive in Lagos
