What I did was to start saving 40k everymoths into a child education account from the day the lady said ... Yes , I do... Sh brings in 10k monthly, I bring in 40k... This funds will b for all the children, and not only for varsity... Not will b all their life skl expenses... In about 1 year when the child is just 7 months in the womb.. money is 600k... When a child is 2 years when she started all.. funds will b 2.5 million . Upon the money, child still went to a moderate bursary and primary skl... And a fed govt. Secondary skl... I am. Not a fan of big private skl... FG sec skls are ok... Both for cost and for good education... It is a continuous contribution, that is non stop... Even covering the next child and third ... It covers their fees, bags, uniforms, party money, house rent at varsity, ... Pocket money while I'm varsity... Payments in skl... Money for NYSC expenses... Etc.. That way.. even if u lose ur job for 4 months u won't feel under pressure... But the code is... The funds must b strictly for education and it house rent or anything else... As we get older and income grows, we add just 15k..and not more That's the winning formula I did same for heath insurance... But just me saving.. not joint... After registration of the family.. I codedly opened an account for family health.. Incase of need for big surgery.. I also did same for the legal needs of the house.. opening a separate acct for it.. and outing 10k monthly... nautybride:Acknowledged On the later part, it's not a hurried project so calm down and only buy land you really know about. Avoid the commercial (& fraud mixed) craze in the city. Go to your own village if necessary. Every state that has lands worth 100M also has rural area worth 500k or less. Very simple thing to do. Instead of saving 10k or 20k monthly for your kids. Use that money and be buying BTC worth of that amount for them every single month. You'll be shocked how much you will realise after even 5 - 10 years. It is called "Dollar Cost Averaging." And the good thing is that the process can be automated. Inflation can eat savings but not investment. We're in a digital and smart era. Look back at what bitcoin has done within the last 10yrs. At least you can have a glimpse of what the future looks like, coupled with now that US and other western nations have started adopting crypto officially.
