Bad Tyre Experience by QuickTyreNG(op):
I woke up today remembering a close call I had some years ago with a bursted tyre.

We were on our way to deliver a client’s job when we suddenly heard a loud bang from the back.

We quickly pulled over, only to find that one of the tyres had exploded.

Thankfully, we weren’t on the expressway, and by God's grace, there was a mechanic shop just nearby.

The tyre was changed on with a pre-owned tyre, and we continued our journey like nothing happened.

It could have been worse.

Let’s talk.

Have you ever had a tyre experience that just drained your energy or almost messed up your whole day?

Was doing 140km/hr on Lagos Ibadan express ( Toyota sienna ) fully Loaded with passengers , had a loud bang & vehicle started doing zigzag . Luckily the express was not too busy , I was able to halt safely . A lady sitting in front was so calm as every , where as the muscle men behind were all screaming .

Was coming back from the farm with this pickup fully loaded with farm produce... Lost a tire. The rear one. Vehicle was swerving then one unfortunate driver coming with full speed from behind attempted to overtake. He overtook and deliberately slowed down in front. That was how the truck tumbled

Had a bent tire from the front side, they were bought new and already did 2yrs plus. I was sha managing it, got to Lagos Saturday night and promised to enter market on Monday for Tokunbo.
My mum was heading out on Sunday and I offered to drive her after all a bent tire that did 200km on very bad roads should be able to do 30km on smooth and small rough road (island to Ikorodu).

I was doing less than 80km cause anything higher gets the steering vibrating seriously nah him one of the front tire gaveway, nah so mama begin shout wetin be that, slowdown, no press brake grin

I was calm and allowed the vehicle to come to a slow speed and parked after the right turn to Oshodi. That was my first major tire issue since I have been driving.

Wow 😮 I would have been a little worried too on such speed. That lady was clearly armed with knowledge of what was going on. She was seated at the front with you, so she saw how it all unfolded… or she’s probably an experienced driver who has been in similar situations before

Mummy was worried and that is fine but we thank God for His protection over you and your mum.

That could have been a much worse situation, but His grace kept you both safe.
