Charly Boy on point here. Nothing spoil sir. Simply buy another small land near where people gather to wait for bus. Then build a small canopy with chairs and refreshments. You’ve got your bus stop back if truly you miss the bus stop. We specialize on bus stops and bus parks. If I begin to mention Ekene dili Chukwu, Chisco, Young shall grow, Ekeson, Dan dollars, ABC, Ifesinachi, we may not leave here today. |

@Thewesterner, you're right. But it's convenient for them to call Yorubas bigots when we pushback. |

Renaming a street in lagos and Nigeria at large is a sign of bitterness and of course, backwardness. There are numerous streets that could be named after those people. Renaming a street that was previously named after a figure is a sign of dead brain. |

The thing about Charly boy is that he is an institution. The man has been shaking tables while Reno was in diapers. And the lagosians who were non tribal people appreciated his effort and awarded him his just due and recognition. The man was loved like a brother all over Lagos by the Yorubas. When Charly boy leaves his house back then over 1000 bikers will follow him mostly Yoruba bikers. Fast forward to recent times the man jumped on the bandwagon of the curse of Peter obi. It's a curse because anyone who jumps on that band wagon loses relevance in the country and deteriorates. Now his legacy has deteriorated and is being wiped away and tossed into the cosmic toilet. Another recipient destroyed by the curse of obi. |

BabaO2:That bus stop only became popular because Charly Boy lived there and he was a media personality otherwise it would have just been a normal bus stop like others around it. There was even a time he erected an effigy of a Harley Davidson motorcycle at the bus stop which further made it stand out |

Guestmale:Only a Gen Z would make this type of comment in Nigeria! If you must know Charly Boy has remained relevant in the entertainment industry and public eye from the 1980s up till now, mention 5 other Nigerians who have been able to achieve that feat! |

richie240: richie240:Aisha Yesufu is Igbo for supporting Peter Obi, I am also Igbo for supporting Peter Obi...no other tribe support Tinubu except the Yorubas, and yes Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba are the only tribes in Nigeria, Are you happy now?...Infact, I am Hausa judging from how I am typing. If it types like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it most probably is an IGBO duck....So, I am Igbo born of Yoruba parents. Happy now? SMH. There will always be your kind amongst us...una plenty.

Kobicove:it was never named charleyboy Busstop, Because of the presence of his famous bike displayed on the building back then, people ascribed the area charley boy area/busstop. The landmark is no longer there. He's no longer relevant there. what is his contribution to deserve a buststop to be named after him? |

ElevationD:Those changes in the street names shows height hatred, tribalism and jealousy that is well known about the people of that region. They will keep claiming that the Igbos are not respecting their hosts and all other stereotype BS just to paint the Igbos bad. If the Igbos do not respect their host, how come they were able to live so these long years and helping the host communities and even buying lands in those communities. The fact that the politician, who out of selfish interest brought about the hated and division is hidden by tagging Igbos aggressive. That division was easy to grow within that region cos ppl from that region are will known right from time as bn tribalistic. The fact will remain that the Igbos are the holder of the peaceful co-existence of the people of Nigeria. Remove the Igbos, Nigeria will be a desolate place and uninhabitable. Take it or leave it. And if Nigeria is to progress beyond what she is today, it must start from the Igbo tribe. The Igbos are the light bearers of this nation. Let them keep changing street names instead of changing their mindset. You can change the name of the streets, but the legacy lives in the heart of the people. Even in the next 10 years, you'll still hear ppl calling the bus stops work their original names. Igbos are focusing on more tangible progress and not common street names. We are unstoppable. |

Gerrard59:My tribe doesn't matter in this issue Sir. I have watched the igbos behavioral pattern from different geopolitical zones due to the nature of my job that is taking me around. I love living in Igbo houses because they build the standard of house I like no matter how remotely the community. I even have my three children given Igbo names by three landlords. Yoruba is even fairer compared to the north. Politically, I think the igbos are still not getting things right. The population of igbos can be a bargain in getting presidency of this country. In the days of Jonathan, the fellow I lived in his house would be bragging about money and business and that political power did not matter. I could not stop wondering about his stupidity. We all saw how MKO business was destroyed by Abacha. Igbo presidency is very possible if given all it takes. They cry about marginalization. Baba! With almost the same population as Yorubas, Yoruba are not intimidated by Hausa - Fúlàní political gimmicks. I think Igbos should look inwards and restragetize. What the lagosians are doing today is anti - Yoruba. Honestly, I have not heard of it elsewhere. All I know in Yoruba land is that if you contribute to the development of your host communities you will be rewarded with chieftancy titles, street named after you and the rest of it. Besides, you can grow your business without any fear. This case of Lagos is worrisome. |
