The first time I read Trials of Brother Jero, I dropped the book like a hot potato!
I couldn't relate.
My teenage mind rebelled!
I wondered if this was written for us at our level then or for a higher academic class/audience.
If it was written for a higher academic audience then whoever enlisted that book in our Junior Secondary Literature Scheme of work had to be summoned and queried by the authorities!
Since then I never bothered with Prof. Wole Soyinka's books.
I was taught in my undergraduate days that KISS (Keep It Short & Simple) is the key to communicating effectively with any audience on any subject matter.
Even as an adult I read some works and, while I may admire the writing style, I just sit and muse, wondering if the writer/author was trying to communicate or just busy massaging his potbelly-sized ego with a pen!
As an avid reader I really do not enjoy taking breaks between texts and consulting the dictionary just to be sure I am the same page with an author. It is burdensome.
Like Warren Buffett says, the only evidence you understand and have mastered any subject is your ability to explain it to the understanding of a six year old!
That being said, kudos to everyone who's mastered the skill to indulge themselves in some complex literary works. Bravo to you guys!

Nigerians are very naive, I have asked people what's the difference between PDP and APC and the rest of the political parties. Like what are their ideologies ?

What makes the APC or ADC standout from PDP ?
Sometimes they are just the same people, moving from one party to another and yet my naive Nigerians think they are different.

Just a bunch of old men trying to get super rich at the expense of the gullible masses.


It'll take something drastic to correct these abominations we call politicians or they might end up bleeding our coffers dry.

“Given the rapid developments in occupied Palestine, specifically in the Gaza Strip, including the continuation of the war of genocide and the martyrdom of thousands of our brotherly Palestinian people as a result of the aggression and siege that has been ongoing for months, and amid shameful Arab, Islamic, and international silence.
Yemen, in the face of the continuation of these horrific, brutal, and unprecedented massacres in our contemporary history, finds itself faces a religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibility toward the oppressed who are subjected daily and around-the-clock, to killing and destruction by air, land, and sea bombardment, as well as to starvation and thirst due to the stifling and severe siege on steadfast and proud Gaza, which is unacceptable to any human being, let alone Arabs and Muslims.

The actions of the Yemeni Armed Forces express our moral and humanitarian commitment to the injustice against the brotherly Palestinian people, and all our military operations will be ceased immediately upon the cessation of aggression against Gaza and the lifting of the blockade.
