If Reno did not call obi's name in everything he does that day I think he will get headache... At first he was doing fine when he used to encourage youths and advice them with words of motivations but today he has become something else.. |

AMINDA:Typical gaslighting. Typical of you people trying to gaslight the SS and NC. They can think for themselves. We are not interested in SE votes. If God forbid, it SE votes that are needed to re-elect him then let him come back home. You unleashed the genie, you will reap what you have sown. |

Charlie Boy Does not Deserve a Bus Stop in Lagos My name is Mrs Ebunola Adebusoye. I'm the Deputy Women leader of Indigenous Lagos Teachers Association I write this in my personal opinion. My group has not authorised me to do this on itse behalf, but I have to do it after consultation with the Lagos General Secretary, at least to avoid organisational indiscipline. I'm happy I was given to go-ahead to write my own personal opinion. I speak on the reigning issue of the renaming of Charly Boy Bus Stop in Lagos to Badoo Bus stop, an exercise executed by the Chairman, Bariga LCDA. First of all, I thank the Chairman for living up to the expectations of the people of Gbagada where Charles Oputa, alias Charly Boy also referred to as Area Father lived and tormented the residents for many years. As a Lagos indigene and from the Royal home, we are proud of what the Chairman did. At 65 and as a retired School teacher, I have a sense of what morality means. Having a Bus Stop with the name Charly Boy is an attempt to glorify immorality of the highest order. Firstly, Area Father never had a Bus Stop allocated to him at Gbagada. When he moved here many years ago, the first thing he did was to pull down the existing Bus Stop signpost which was second Pedro named after a prominent Lagos family that had put in sweat and blood to the growth, fame and rise of Lagos. Charly Boy was never officially allocated any Bus Stop. That is the truth. Calling the place Charly Boy was his own creation. Secondly, Charly boy lived in this area as as a little beast. He tormented the reisidents, turned the place into a jungle, a hub for hard drugs including cocaine and hooliganism. I lived close to him for about 5 years. Myself and my husband had to relocate to Ikorodu because of this nuisance. He was an extremely bad influence on youths and the core values of Yoruba Nation. I recall his attack on a 70 year old Mr Akinyemi who challenged his rascality. He ordered his thugs to beat up the old man who he stripped naked. I recall the children of this old man who came to challenge him were also beaten up. These actions if taken in any civilised world would have been challenged by the relevant authority and Charly Boy would have been sent to jail. He was contemptuous of Yoruba people who he derided and insulted so often. He has no respect for the tradition and values of his host. He owed his landlord 7 years rent which he never paid. The landlady, a Yorubaland woman died of hypertension Charly Boy converted the rented apartment into a studio that his wife managed. He pulled down the fence and converted the building to his own shape. He would insult and harrass the woman, playing music all day and all night. The woman died. People who support Charly Bus stop should tell us what single contributions he made to Lagos or to the people of Gbagada. Monuments should be named after heroes not hooligans and common criminals. That is an insult and an assault on us whose ancestors own the land. Kano, Enugu, Owerri, Calabar belong to certain ethnic groups, so why should Lagos belong to everyone? It is just silly and provocative for anyone to slogan this assault on we the people of Lagos. We hereby caution and warn those who think they can continue to spit on Lagos heritage to beware of the wrath of our ancestors and at the fullness of time, we shall challenge them BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY. |

casualobserver:When are you all going to wake up and face the reality that your tribalization of the Tinubu candidacy will only hurt his chances? We know you're doing so to undo the embarrassment of losing Lagos to Obi but is it really worth it. Is winning back Lagos at all costs at the detriment of isolating yourselves from the rest of Nigerians worth the trade off? The Southwest is just one of 6 regions with 6 states and last I checked, Tinubu only won 4 out of the 6 and his latest antics is making the liberals in the SW to move even further away from him. You are trying to undo that by rallying the region around tribe but you all fail to see the big picture that Tinubu is not contesting for Southwest regional premier. Obasanjo won twice without winning his Southwest region. Tinubu doesn't need all this if he's truly a pan-Nigerian leader. |

AMINDA:Listen my friend, you started this. They say we are accommodating it’s not because we are mugus, it’s because we are slow to respond. You have been poking the bear, the bear is now responding. Your toxicity destroyed your land, we accommodated you, instead you want to destroy our land with your toxicity? This is not about election. We don’t care, if he losses he will come back home and we will give him a hero’s welcome. Awo that is greater than Tinubu never became president. Presidency is not that big a deal to us. We have a saying we do t call a monkey a cow because we want to eat meat. This that you have started goes beyond the election. Go and fix your land and do whatever you want there. This is yoruba land! Your nonsense over the last decade or so has awoken the average yoruba man from Motor park tout to professor. If Tinubu has to lose in 2027 for you people to know Yorubas land is yoruba land so be it! |
| Re: Reno Omokri Talks About The Names Changes In Lagos by AMINDA: 7:52am On Jul 28, 2025 |
casualobserver:Lagos is Yorubaland but Tinubu just took a 15 trillion naira project that is worth half of the nation's budget without appropriation to Lagos. "Our Lagos" but the federal government over the years have invested loans worth billions of dollars of the nation’s patrimony on Lagos which the entire Nigerians are expected to service via taxation. It is like Northerners claiming Abuja belongs solely to the North and starting a tribal campaign to expel people of other tribes from the land. Again, look at the big picture. This is worse than South Africa's xenophobia because you're doing this to your own kin. Again, we know you're only doing this to shore up support for Tinubu in his base but it isn't worth it. |

AMINDA:Story! Fix your homeland because ours was a not, is not and never will be yours! You will not take in your ancestral land what you have been doing in ours and we have had enough. From the masses to the elite. Keep your votes, we dont want it. I have told you this is not about election. For the record. The Lagos coastal road is a 700km road between Lagos and Calabar. The Lagos section is only 47km, the entire section of the road in yoruba land is less than 150km. This is the propaganda you people are known for just like you claim Lagos was developed with Federal money. There is no where in Nigerianthat wasn’t developed with federal money and the part of Lagos that was “Federal” was ikoyi, Victoria island, yaba and Lagos island. Every other part of what is Lagos state today was western region and developed under Awo. |

| Re: Reno Omokri Talks About The Names Changes In Lagos by AMINDA: 8:09am On Jul 28, 2025 |
casualobserver:This is not about election indeed, but it always comes up during every election season and always in Lagos and nowhere else in the Southwest. That is how Tinubu have managed to maintain his grip on Lagos for decades. The Oba Akiolu's diatribe on "drowning in the lagoon" is still fresh in our memories. Even then, the opposition was a certain Jimi Agbaje who got labelled the Igbo candidate. Same as was done to Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivor. If Lagos has not enjoyed unparalleled federal government attention, show me another Southwest state that is close to Lagos by half in every metric. |

AMINDA:So you know it is not about elections. Please I beg of you don’t vote for Tinubu. You feel you have a right to Lagos because a few square kilometers used to be federal territory. Like I said federal Lagos is different from Lagos state. Lagos state was created out of surrounding Egba and ijebu regions. Secondly Lagos is no longer Federal territory. |

Tinubu does not need to galvanise your 5 state. He made that crystal clear by his lack of visut to your region. I can assure you he will not be visiting any of your 5 state again in 2027 to solist vote that is how much Tinubu does not need you or your votes so rest easy. AMINDA: |

| Re: Reno Omokri Talks About The Names Changes In Lagos by AMINDA: 8:28am On Jul 28, 2025 |
casualobserver:Lol. Indeed. Show me the equivalent of a 15 trillion naira project in any other state of the federation. Tinubu just got approval to borrow 2.5 billion dollars for the Lagos Green line by the way. This would be repaid through taxation by all Nigerians not just Lagosians. So my question still remains unanswered, if Lagosians solely developed Lagos, why hasn't Lagos been replicated in any other Southwesterner state? After Tinubu lost Lagos to Obi, it took Sanwo-olu's aide leading a "My Lagos, not your Lagos" campaign that disenfranchised voters for Sanwo to win the gubernatorial election. Yet, you want to have us believe it's not about elections. Aren't there Igbos in other Southwestern states and other regions in Nigeria?

Reno, I alway respected your views but it beats my imagination what you are spinning here. States and local governments have at several times changed name of streets and bus stops but never in the history of any peace loving state have name of large number streets and bus stops related to to a particular tribe or people been changed in a single swoop. Am amazed that Reno could attempt to defend this grave attempt to stir up the people Now I understand that your advocacy is tainted |

Obi hasn't said anything about the renaming of streets in Lagos but yet Reno still find a way to call his name. By the way when will Reno fact check his blasting of Tinubu? |

dequir:Guilty conscience fears no accusations. While telling us nobody sent you to make this statement but on your own if something sinister is not underground. Anyways e no concern me, the only thing I know is that, that bus stop will still remain Charly boy bus stop to conductors and passengers alike till God knows when, that I am sure of. |

We simply don’t care how you chose to govern yourself and Lagos also reserves the constitutional right to administer the state as the deem fit, so stop crying btw proudly lagos ![]() |

Greenback:MC Oluomo is an Awori indigene of Ejigbo in Lagos . Bishop Ajayi Crowther is from Osogun in Oyo State. The people of Lagos are giving their own sons higher priority in the street names but they can still choose which one they prefer |
