highchief1:Don't compare. The odds are against men. Few men lived longer compared to thousands of women living longer.... don't go there? Pressures of life kill men silently. |

You should have find out at what age their fathers died. Don't forget that normally husbands are always older than their wives. And of course many husbands would never wish their wives and children die before them |

Love800:Lol.. how many men dey senior their wives with almost 20 years? You mean say all the women in this picture their husband senior them with almost 20 years? You forget say men marry early back then. |

There are many angles to look at this. Some people rightly pointed out the issue of age difference. When the age gap between the couple is very wide (like a man being 10 years, 15 years, 20 years etc older) there is a possibility the younger couple (often the wife) will outlive the older. That is not necessarily a bad thing provided the man intentionally delayed marriage in order to develop himself and lay solid foundation for himself and enjoy his life small before getting married. Someone also pointed out the issue lifestyle and she was right. Most men tend to live recklessly. Drinking alcohol more than they drink water, practically smoking their life away, no medical checkup etc. No one indulges in all these and live long. The last thing I want to point out is the issue of men rushing into marriage when they never chop beleful. A wise man will not rush into marriage until he is sure he has more than enough to take care of himself and can comfortably take care of wife and children. But fools rush into marriage even while they are still struggling to survive as a bachelor. The rule is, if you bring children into this world you must be ready to cater for them even if you have to sacrifice your life to do so. Because nobody sent you |

Celestialsword:. Why do the people in those pictures all look so much like their mothers? Jonathan looks like all of his facial features came straight from his mother, as if no father dey the equation there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

A theory is that female humans tend to live longer than their male counterparts because the role of grandmother provides additional caregivers for our offspring, who are born weaker and stay infantile for much longer than other species. |

Jamieb:Funny thin is that most of these people y'all are claiming died cos of hustling for their families and not taking care of themselves,it was even the women that were the breadwinners. Alot of you guys commenting too,na una wife dey bear the household burden but has to hide it to make y'all look good. But you are all over here advising other men to rest and treat themselves. Lol.... And also, you guys should learn to stick to your wives ..in the event of "enjoying",you spread your seeds thinking there are no consequences,y'all acquire many side chicks and take over their responsibilities..they bill you dry and you even do extra jobs to meet up. You take sexual enhancers to please them. Then when you drop dead,it's because your wife and children stressed you out ?? You lots are delusional. |

Celestialsword:We Nigerian men are too proud to admit that the load is too heavy for fear of being labelled a failure by a poison tongued judgemental society that is quick to judge someone that is just down on his luck and then you add the cooked up religious text that says that :- A man that fails to [provide for his family is worse than an infidel and thus you now have a generation of men who can not confide in their wives and tell her the truth that the load is too heavy for him to bear anymore because he KNOWS that his wife will call him a failure to his face in front of his children. And so, the man does his best and when his income is not enough, he starts borrowing loans at high interest to cater to his wife and kids needs and eventually when foreclosure looms because he can no longer afford to service the loans, you will then see news stories of men dying of high blood pressure or stopping their car on third mainland bridge and jumping into the lagoon as happened in one case a few years ago. Its no wonder some men just abscond from the house never to return. Stress and pressure no dey respect gender. Nigerian wives and girl friends and fiancees should learn to manage whatever their man can EASILY afford. For example, if a man was giving his wife allowance of N200k per month but he was struggling to do so, if he told his wife that he could no longer afford N200k but will reduce it to N50k until things improve, that relationship will never be the same as it was before and to avoid such drama is why a lot of Nigerian men are opting to be single because of the unrealistic financial burdens our women place on our necks. |

| Re: Where Are Their Father's? by TrainPark: 5:35am On Jul 29, 2025 |
highchief1:they probably took good care of themselves. All humans will die but don't speed up the process with unnecessary burdens and stress! That is the whole point of his message. |

Celestialsword:Late Herbert Wigwe's dad is still alive and fighting over property Governor Dapo Abiodun's dad is still alive Davido'sum is late his dad is still alive A young barely in her 30s passed away during childbirth leaving her husband with 3 small children My own mum is late my dad is still alive When you you silly shallow minded men realise that there's no formula to this life we're living. All this nonsense about men struggling to cater for the family is utter garbage! Women don't struggle? Women don't make sacrifices form the family? Do they stretch their legs waiting for the man to provide? Show me a household where a woman is not working and co-providing for the family while taking care of the home. If you want to become a deadbeat, by all means do so. Don't go dragging others with you. |

dominique:What the op stated up there is just an illustration that points to the truth. Go and do your research, on the mortality rates of Nigerians, males is the highest, expecially father's. Women are just helpers in the home and not breadwinners. Maybe your mom was the breadwinner in your home |
