Since when did being a youth advocate require this level of protection?

If you claim to be for the people, why surround yourself like the people are the danger?

This kind of drama raises real concerns. Is it fear, image management, or plain overkill? Even some elected officials in Nigeria move lighter than this.

We need to ask: Is this leadership or loud packaging?

Because so far, it’s looking more like the latter.

Because it’s his personal choice, and more importantly, it’s his personal money.

Nobody said he called police or used government detail. These are private escorts, paid from his own pocket, just to make sure he can move freely, stay safe, and focus on his work without unnecessary drama.

In this Nigeria, even musicians and skitmakers move with bouncers. So why should someone who’s engaging people every week in markets, townhalls, and events not take basic precautions?

It’s not about fear. It’s about responsibility.
And he’s not using public funds so what exactly is the issue?

Anybody can have bodyguards (as long as they are not paid for with public funds), it shouldn't bother you except if you are planning to kill them.

As long as it's not been paid for with state resources...

Lol. This is comical frankly. One of my arms is bigger than the rented "bodyguard" standing as the Abdulazeez character alights from the vehicle in the second picture.

A lot of Nigerians are just naturally deceptive people who have perfected the art of 'packaging' to deceive others they are this and that whereas they are actually nothing of substance.

Their private reality is very different to what they want the world to believe. We are a people who revel in deceiving one another thinking such makes us smart and others 'mumus'.
