Na God go punis4 them.
I mailed Bolt yesterday and they are saying our Net is not affected. Technically they increased the fares to accommodate more commissions and Trip Deductions.
So they can increase fares so they can have more money for themselves but can't increase fares so drivers can have more money.

the back story I had was that auaton or what is the name of the association that was formed for enhailing driver took those app companies to Lagos house to weigh in on the price issue but instead of them to work on that, the house members only work on what was going into the Lagos state pocket and realised it's too small so they ask them to increase it

They can give them from the current 25% commission.
Or just come out plain and tell us;
Commission still remains 20%
Booking fees has increased to let's say 7.5% which includes VAT for every ride. So that we can at a glance see the way the money is shared.
All these hankipanki of dynamic commission is stealing in disguise. The lowest Bolt has charged is 15% while they have charged other people as high as 40%, so isn't it obvious they are stealing by tricks?
The current 5% deductions for govt charges is even a lie. Because initially they said it's N25 per trip. We still let it slide when it gradually climbed to 5% of the fare because they claimed it's an additional charge on top the normal price of the trip, so e no concern us.
But now that Bolt prices are ridiculously low competing with Indrive that is not paying all those things, I doubt they are giving govt anything. So it's still Bolt that's taking all the 25%. Coupled with the low fares, now d drivers are at the receiving end. To add salt to injury u are now increasing commission to 30-35 even 40%. That's ludacris.

Who here has experienced e-hailing in any other city outside Lagos?

Lagos is a very hostile place to drivers.

My driving experience in Ibadan has been pretty pleasant, we have a few drivers on weekly remittance of 60k weekly with CNG though and to my surprise they are always meeting up ontime with no excuses.

To highlight the cool side of driving in Ibadan;
No traffic only on rare occasions and never compared to Lagos traffic.

No touts to harass you incase of a breakdown.

No need for Lasdri, and other documents required of rideshare drivers in Lagos.

The train service has improved the business in Ibadan.

In a nutshell if you are feeling tired of Lagos and you have the flexibility to explore a new city, I think you should try experiencing Ibadan

I'm still confused on something, I've been seeing some people's dashboard breakdown being charged 35% commission while I've been charged between 15% to 25% and I'm wondering how they selected other drivers for heavy commission.

is there any criteria or something to differentiate who to charge high and low for commission?

lol, this guy ehen.

You're looking for a way to justify your selfishness, you want to compare Lagos and ibadan, so because ibadan drivers are delivering 60k with a CNG vehicle, same thing should be applied to Lagos state?

with this your mentality, I don't even expect any car owner or investor to take you seriously, someone on this same thread is on HP delivering 80k weekly on Hire Purchase for a gas vehicle and he's meeting up smoothly but you on the other hand want CNG vehicle and still want to deliver 60k..

I hope the f00lish drivers have now learnt that nobody has their interest covered except themselves. Especially that govt doesn't have the interest of citizens.

Bolt is a chràyzie app, wallahi.
The reason I dumped bolt for the underdog (indrive) was majorly for their commission, followed by driver's scores and acceptance rates.
Bolt can never change.
Why would you take this huge chunk from a driver FGS?!
Damnnn!

Much respect, boss.
