Cryomancer:Thanks for responding. Any idea if his trim was the 1.5T or 2.0? I hear most of the turbo issues are with the 1.5T trim |

Vehicle Details - *Vehicle Model:* Honda Civic 2011 - *Engine Size:* 1.8 liters Fuel Consumption Details - *City driving fuel consumption:* 20.9 liters per 100 km - *Fuel consumption per km:* 0.209 liters/km - *Fuel cost per km:* ₦183.92 (₦880/liter × 0.209 liters/km) Method of Calculation To calculate the fuel consumption, I used the following method: - When the fuel gauge shows yellow (indicating reserve fuel level), I purchase approximately 23 liters of fuel (₦20,000 worth). - I reset the trip meter after each fuel refill. - I drive normally until the fuel gauge shows yellow again. - The trip meter consistently shows around 110 km, indicating that 23 liters of fuel is consumed over this distance. Observed Issues - *High fuel consumption:* The vehicle's fuel consumption is higher than expected for a Honda Civic 1.8-liter engine, even with the air conditioner on. Please What could be the cause and solution. It's a tokunbo vehicle.. Though the mileage is high |

Please I need help. I drive a Honda Accord 2001 model(Baby Boy), I had issues with my Ignition switch which I bought another one, which the rewire removed some part of the new ignition switch and coupled it with the faulty one,the car worked. I wasn't there when he did the fix,so he said he drove the vehicle and he noticed it was not selecting properly and advised I top up the gear oil which we did immediately while the car was still on,mind you I haven't used any oil since September 2024 that I bought the car, so I used power steering oil in the red container which wasn't enough, so the rewire brought Dextron III for Highlander SUV which we used to fill up. When I tried to drive off some 10minutes after, the car couldn't move when put on Drive but reverses fine. When I switched off and start the car again,it drives but it was dragging when am not speeding and it making noise when it changes from one gear to the other which the car doesn't do before. I have scanned the car and what it brought is this: * Clutch pressure control solenoid valve A failure * Clutch pressure control solenoid valve b failure. Please what can I do to solve this problem,I have managed to drive to my mechanic's place. Which Gear oil works best for the Car and is readily available please? |

Dpzeewonder:This your story sha. Power steering oil as gear oil? I just hope your gear is not affected yet. Let me look for the manual of your car to see the required oil type. |

Greetings house, Trust this meets you well, I am currently revamping my Honda Civic 1999 model i am looking to buy a new engine, can you share a reliable supplier number. Thank you. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 3:00pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
Dpzeewonder:Bro I find it hard to want to believe you actually used a power steering oil on your gear and your mechanic was also there watching? Anyway you need to change that mechanic first then, you look for someone to do a total flush of your transmission oil for you before you finally fix that solenoid issue. Honda have a sensitive transmission, you don't go around messing up with it, else you will pay dearly for it. I just hope you don't end up buying another transmission. |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 3:02pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
Kcxee:Depends on your location. Kindly state your location so that people can know who to recommend, expect you don't mind buying and waybill from any location. |

Please I need footmat for 2016 Honda CIVIC. Anyone who can point me in the right direction? |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 8:45pm On Jul 25, 2025 |
diabeticdeals:Do you mean the OEM branded footmats or a high quality aftermarket one. If you're in Lagos, visit Oyingbo, Aspamda (trade-fair) or Ladipo and you'll get the Toks OEM or high quality aftermarket brands. Or simply go online and get something you like. |

Hi all Good job I currently own and drive a 5th gen Toyota Camry (06) and I'm considering an upgrade to a 3rd gen Acura MDX (08 preferably, 3.7l V6 and more cargo space without sacrificing beauty). Is the Acura MDX a good buy? I have my sights set on the Volvo XC90 too but the Acura is top of the mind. Accosted a 2013 MDX owner yesterday at a gas station to just talk about the car model generally. He wasn't the owner though and didnt have much to say |

Why harass a driver on top old model car. See the kind dead cars u dey dream of. God nawa o MrReeseG: |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 1:10pm On Jul 30, 2025 |
MrReeseG:the MDX is a great performance car with modern technology and features that is still very much in vogue. Has very good balance and heavily built for durability, however, the replacement parts can be very pricey because it doesn't share any parts with other vehicles, but only shares a few parts with Honda Pilot 08 model upwards. The engine comes in 3.7L V6, so if you're looking for fuel economy, please stay away from that car because the engine capacity and performance makes it a fuel guzzler. I'll advise you go for 2010 upwards because it has an upgraded body kits, infotainment, dashboard and few other mechanics. Best of luck Sir. |

Hello house, I drive a tokunbo Honda Civic 2011 1.8L and I’ve been experiencing very high fuel consumption — currently around 17.4L/100km (about 5.7 km/l) at best, which is far above normal. 🔧 What I’ve Done So Far: Installed a new MAF sensor Cleaned the throttle body Use Torque and Car Scanner apps Got a P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) code earlier, but I cleared it and it hasn’t returned Long-Term Fuel Trim (LTFT) is around -11% MAF reading at idle is usually around 2.3 to 2.4 g/s Despite all this, the car is still burning too much fuel. 🔍 What I Want to Check Next: Possible injector leaks Fuel pressure issues Faulty downstream O2 sensor Exhaust leak or failing catalytic converter Full live data diagnosis beyond what my scanner can provide Please, can anyone recommend a reliable and experienced Honda mechanic or auto electrician in Lagos (preferably mainland) who can run proper diagnostics — fuel pressure test, injector test, O2 sensor check, exhaust inspection, etc.? Thanks a lot 🙏 |

Dpzeewonder:Ahh baby boy, brings back memories. That was my first car back then. Served me for 5 good years. It's major flaw is the transmission, that transmission doesn't tolerate the slightest abuse. i suggest you start checking for prices of a replacement. But you can try your luck and take it to an expert on transmission repairs if you are lucky it can give you a few more years before it finally gives up the ghost. |

Hello my bosses, is the 2019 Honda accord non turbo advicable for a first time user? Or should I stick with Toyota? |
| Re: The HONDA Club by Cryomancer(op): 7:32am On Aug 06, 2025 |
dessz:The 2019 non turbo is very advisable for a first timer. If you're looking for a car that can withstand abuse, due to bad maintenance culture, please stay away from Honda products. But if you need a car that will give you better performance, tech and balance amongst others then that car is the right choice for you. Just ensure you carry out proper maintenance and don't cut corners when replacing or maintaining parts, then you won't have any problem. |
