Sani Bello is rumoured to be joining the ADC

Professor Muhammad Sani Bello, Kaduna State’s Commissioner for Information, has tendered his resignation with immediate effect, SaharaReporters has learnt.

He was also the Director General of Uba Sani Gubernatorial Campaign Council in the 2023 general elections.

In a letter dated July 29, 2025, and addressed to the Secretary to the State Government, General Hassan Usman (retd.), at the Katsina House in Kawo, Kaduna, Bello announced his voluntary resignation from the state executive council, ending his tenure without citing any specific reason.

SaharaReporters exclusively obtained the resignation letter, which reads in part: “Reference to letter number GH/KD/S/171 dated 27th July 2023, appointing me as Commissioner and Member of the Kaduna State Executive Council, I wish to notify you of my decision to voluntarily resign with immediate effect.

“I wish to place on record, my profound gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity afforded me to serve in the capacities I did.

“Please accept the assurance of my best regards.”

In May, Governor Uba Sani reinstated the state Ministry of Information that was scrapped by the administration of his predecessor, Nasir El-Rufai.

The governor also redeployed then-Commissioner for Education, Professor Sani Bello, to head the new ministry, while a former Director General of Energy Commission of Nigeria, Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, was appointed as the new Commissioner for Education.

In a statement, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, said the governor also appointed Gloria Ibrahim as the Commissioner for Youth Development.

The statement added that the appointments and redeployment were with immediate effect.

The Momentum is gathering and building up;/ But we have lost so much and have been pillaged by the ruthless APC government for 10 years, from PMB, supported by our Dear Pastor Osinbajo.and now Emilokan. Yet they want a second term for the south. It is all a Charade, It doesn't align with equity, good conscience and fairness. Redemption is almost too late ,and some people are still talking about 2 terms for the South? Is it until we start picking starved and dead bodies from the roadside before we know the tragedy we have encountered as a nation ,just halfway into Tinubu's first time. Is a term not enough for Emilokan or until everyone turn to beggars? We have to collectively address/retrieve what's left of the carcass from the wolves before a total destruction of our Commonwealth. Their government make Jonathan appear like a Saint , as the welfare and wellbeing of the people was never this grim with the future now looking so bleak, uncertain and almost unworthy.

The governor has more weight and structure than El Rufai. The governor started politics same time with Tinubu and he was among those that fought for democracy under NADECO.

El Rufai can't match the governor in kaduna.

APC Barriers in kaduna was southern kaduna but today APC controls southern kaduna.

I have lived and worked with NNPC Kaduna for many years but I was transferred to PH.

EL Rufai has no weight in kaduna more than the governor

Amida will celebrate this resignation from APC but when a governor decamps to APC , he/she will say they only have one vote

Really? Same Elrufai? You SWesterners have no idea what you've done to your reputation amongst the rest of Nigerians in terms of building trust. The resignee was Uba Sani's campaign director by the way. Some Northern governors will try to whine Tinubu but don't panic. By 2026, the political tsunami would be so strong that a lot of the current APC governors in the North will either decamp or get swept away.

P.S: Uba Sani cannot deliver his polling unit to Tinubu. This is a fact that is well established.

Tinubu is relying upon his likes to deliver northern votes but here's a video of Uba Sani being booed at his own polling unit during the sham of a local government elections months ago. Uba Sani is not on ground.

Pdp pulled 554,360 while apc pulled 399,293 votes.
