No one is complaining about the money given to the players cos they deserve it. People are only concern that the gesture is done at a time when retired police officers are protesting non payment and all. Is the UK government owing police officers?

Exactly what I am saying. The Lionesses already had everything arranged for them in the event they lift the trophy, but in a Nigeria's case, even past match bonuses were owed until the President intervened. NFF is too corrupt, no company wants to have anything to do with a very corrupt organisation.

Sometime ago, FIFA gave Nigeria her share of getting to the knockout stage, out of which a sizable amount was supposed to go to the players, till today, I doubt if those players received their dues. Those girls are the pride of the Nation, the most successful of all our Sport teams, but they are often cheated and negleted by the NFF, and when they complain, they are victimised.

Another example, the U20, the Falconets returned from a Championship, and they where given 20k naira each to travel back to their families, that they will be paid later. I am sure the 30% which belongs to the team out of the one million dollars that came with the WAFCON Trophy will be mismanaged.

Unfortunately, the government has no power to interfere in the affairs of the FA, if they do, and the FA reports to FIFA, every Nigeria Football team will be banned from all FIFA competitions, until the govt removes her hand.

That’s a beautiful moment for the Lionesses, winning such a tough match and then celebrating in style. Beating Spain on penalties isn’t easy, and they deserved every bit of that parade.
