Slytiger:Has tunibu stopped supporting Naira? No? He is still spending morning to support Naira. So your submission is not making any sense |

Kemetian:You have met someone with knowledge of this topic today , I will prove to you Tinubu doesn't know what he is doing . When Tinubu came in Nigeria was spending 8 billion dollars annually to prop the Naira , Tinubu in his careless nature recklessly devalued the Naira and made the economy lose 220 billion dollars in one year , how can you lose 220bn to save 8 billion .. let's do the maths further this year 2025 the Tinubu govt is on track to spend 2.6 billion dollars defending the Naira , meaning in reality our economy lost 220 billion dollars to save a paltry 5.4 billion dollars ....if we were spending 5.4 billion dollars to defend the Naira annually it would take Nigerian 40 years to go through 220 billion dollars yet Tinubu has eroded 40 years in one years in other to recoup 1 year. If that's not spectacular failure then tell me what it is |

Kemetian:Just shut it. The British pound has a higher exchange value to the US dollar, when had a US president ever gave it precedence over the greenback?. That's what is in discussion here. What we have is a Nigeria president openly disparaging and insulting his own economy. This same man already told us that he does not believe in one Nigeria. Obviously, his ascendance to the highest office in the land was fraudulently achieved, he therefore, ought to be shown the door at the earliest opportunity. |

symbianDON:Very nice points. He is urging Nigerians to patronise Nigerian goods and services to boost the naira implying blame on Nigerians for the decline of the currency but he is selectively deaf and blind to the reckless spending of the politicians on foreign goods and services. I observed the guy does not think through something before expressing it. |

You’re funny bro. Tinubu spending dollars in Nigeria, what is that to you? Is he building the naira or reducing the value? Pls answer I want to know what you think about it. Kemetian: |

Ikaeniyan0:^^^ He should have mentioned the Naira value only of whatever reward was being given to the Cup winners. The US dollar had no business there. The Naira (though bruised and battered) is still the national currency after all. In a short while, some government person will come on air to complain about dollarization among ordinary Nigerians. But the problem is coming from the very top. ![]() |

“When the highest office in the land sets such a tone, what moral ground do we stand on to call on others to have faith in our currency? If this is not patriotism in reverse, then what is?” President Tinubu didn't do well on this. |

Wallade:Where in my post did I complained if they were paid in dollars or not. And as for CAF paying in dollars, it's bcus the tournament was played in Morocco and they can pay in Morocco's currency but in one of the universally accepted currency then you go change it to your own currency. As for being it tradition for our govt to reward sporting excellence, I don't know who started it but OBJ gives national reward with handshake and no monetary rewards. I'm coming my phone is almost down, I will give you full analysis of how money are being paid for players both in the tournament and after the tournament. |

Kalulu44:So what is your complaint? You just lied about Obasanjo's government. The Obasanjo's government gave monetary gratification to: ₦1M each to Super Falcons ₦1M each to Scrabble Team members ₦57M to U-19 Female National Team ₦27M to Flying Eagles (U-21) team Go and do your research properly before spewing misinformation and lies on nairaland. |

Kemetian:You know nothing about macroeconomics. You think trade is about sentiments? Favourable balance of trade implies developing and exporting commodities you're good at and importing the ones you're weak in. Nigeria has leverage in gold, petroleum, cash crops, human capital etc. These are markets that should be given unfair advantage and developed. We currently don't produce enough rice to feed ourselves, not to even talk about export. We have no business blockading imports of things we don't sufficiently produce, or forcing products we're not good at, down people's throats. I would choose a Swiss watch over a Nigerian watch any day. I would choose Nigerian palm oil over palm oil from anywhere else. Our leaders are either ignorant or don't take their advisers seriously. |

I laughed and laughed till i fell from my couch😂 All the things he listed is just among the secondary prbblems of the nation not the main prbblem. They know the truth but will turn blind eye. Buy Locally Made, Buy Locally Made. Has Cement got cheaper and citizens lives and welfare improved in return? Has Rice got cheaper and citizens lives and welfare improved in return? Has Fuel got cheaper and citizens lives and welfare improved in return? I can go on and on but this will suffice. |

Hmm! I blame all those sycophants in the name of advisers... It's just a simple "oh sir! i guess the reward be announced in Naira for the sake of Forex"... The President will immediately understand... But those sycophants will just keep mute even if the President is heading towards the Canal... This is not good for the Naira no matter how anyone spins it... It is well ! |

Na so LP and PDP Supporters urged NIGERIANS to believe that the Former ' CBN Governor - Emiefiele was doing good by Unilateral Changing the Currency Design, without Deputies Inputs, without Boards Input And It - SHOWS How he OBEDIENTS THINK AS THEY DON'T HAVE DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF the Economy nor the National Affairs. So, NIGERIANS have learnt that the Parties above have Social -Media- Syndrome ( SMS) And Nothing good can comes up from the Above Parties and their Social Media Footsoldiers. •Not to mention their bazzer believes that- Lagos- Calabar -Coastal Highways Roads-Project,passing through 9- States of Nigeria -is Impossible as they Dramatised Excuses in different areas! Should they not be compelled to patronize Education institutions in Nigeria?? Should they not be compelled to patronize our hospitals?? |
