CrystalTiger:I saw a stat from an NGO 75% of inmates are still awaiting trial. Less than 10% convictions in our correctional facilities This is for people who love "Go to court" Satan help you, if the person fighting you is stronger than you |

izzou:There’s propaganda and there’s actual governance . Below is a tweet from one of the useful ediots parading themselves as influencers who was gaslighting people with the reduced price of rice about 2 months ago . About that same period he claimed rice is now 55k for 50kg , Bokku which is arguably the cheapest retailer of rice was selling 25kg of their cheapest brand for 40k . Funny thing is u will see people who don’t live in Nigeria but supporting the government from afar will be referencing those tweets as evidence that prosperity is here ![]()

KingTom: It's really crazy oh. Imagine awaiting trial for more than 8 years. To anyone who stays in Nigeria, avoid anything that will make you reach the gate of a prison. Yes, we can only be careful to an extent, but your Eleda sef go know say you try. Nigerian prisons are not what you'll wish on anyone. The whole process will render your life useless. Death no go kill you. Depression sef no go kill you. You'll just waste years of your life with no hope in sight |

BlueRayDick:Nigeria is very beautiful to live online. Dangote reduces fuel from 870 to 850. Then you will see Online citizens shouting that greed is why transport, school fees, house rent is not reducing, since fuel reduced by 20 naira Forgetting that a driver only saved 2000 naira if he buys 100 litres of fuel. How can that be significant? |

izzou:No matter how u advise some people , they won't listen; dem plenty on social media wella. When I read some of them's takes I just shake my head. Look at the two in the link below, on top matter wey no concern them they will spend 2 good months in remand before the judge even hears their case or appeal for bail. They carried placards alleging Mohbad's widow killed him. That one petitioned the police to have them arrested and prosecuted and the presiding judge has ordered for them to be remanded till September. https://www.nairaland.com/8486720/two-tiktokers-remanded-accusing-mohbads Sometimes when I read news like this, I just feel say some Nigerians no really like freedom. |

izzou:My brother you've told no lies, worse still for people like him who aren't even serving a sentence, they don't know when it'll end they just cling on to whatever strand of hope they have left. Looking at that boy's body, he must have been sexually and physically abused since the tender age of 12, and the abuse must've turned him into a completely different animal. I pray his reintegration into society is seamless and smooth |

BlueRayDick:Actually, the price of rice was around 50k in May/June. I know cos I got a bushel of rice (25kg/half bag) in mid May for 25k, and then the bushel price ranged from 22 - 28k at the rice mill, so it wasn't propaganda. I hear it's back up now though. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:04am On Jul 30, 2025 |
semid4lyfe:Well, Around same time I bought 25kg for 42k from a nearby store. If u check my post up there, u will see evidence of Bokku store selling 25kg for 40k and 50kg for 78k around same period. The guy posted on 17th May claiming 50kg was 55k and Bokku posted same was available for 78k between period of 11th to 24th May 2025. |

BlueRayDick:Well, I live in the South Eastern state that is famed for cultivating rice and here foreign rice is barred so we majorly consume local rice that we buy directly from the rice mill, not supermarket stores so that may also be a factor. I remember well cos I went with a bag from home to the rice mill that day, and when I got there, I discovered they had changed their bags so I had to buy the new one for N500. Na the rice we still dey chop for house, though e don nearly finish. My total expenses that day; Rice - 25k Bag - 500 Destoning - 500 Total - 26k. Una dey chop local rice? Trust me, its tastier and more nutritious than foreign rice, and you'd love it. As rice dey cheaper here, maybe I fit dey supply una. ![]() |

Spy360:Read through and tell me how asking for Obi to fulfill his promises turned to nepotism. Your type blows funds every Friday at Vaniti but back home your family members are groaning under your vanity. Peter Obi’s kinsmen protest over his failed promises to community in Anambra. January 7, 2024 The youths of Agulu, Peter Obi‘s kinsmen, in Anaocha local government area of Anambra state, staged a protest against the Labour Party, presidential candidate during the last presidential election, accusing him of abandoning his community with many failed promises. The over 2000 protesters marched through the community with placards with various inscriptions, listing some of the projects he promised his people without accomplishing any during his time as governor of Anambra state. Those projects, according to them, included Obeagu water scheme, judge’s quarters, Fire Service centre, police station among others, adding, “charity begins at home” They also accused him of negligence and abandonment of Agulu General Hospital, while he traveled all over Nigeria and Africa donating huge sums of money. The protesters accused their brother of donating 20 million naira to a General hospital at Nsukka, while the one in his community had been overgrown with weeds with all manner of dangerous reptiles and insects playing ‘samba’ game there. Again, they were not happy with the alleged embezzlement of 40 million naira show your community projects, released by former Governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano to the community They did not accuse Obi for being responsible for it, but, were angry against the contractor for taking the community for a ride. According to one of the protesters, who spoke with The Nation and simply gave his name as Ugochukwu, the contract for the building of the General Hospital Agulu was awarded by Mr. Peter Obi. The source said Obi claimed to have paid over 200 million naira to the contractor (names withheld) for the rehabilitation of the hospital adding that the contractor, had repeatedly denied collecting that amount of money from Peter Obi. However, the angry youths had called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to wade into the matter as the community had no functional hospital. |
