I spelled it Ibo for the longest, was checked one time and have since stuck with Igbo, but curious as to if Ibo means anything other than another spelling of the word Igbo.

I often see it as something that wasn't really anything suddenly made to become something more than it was, and now it's indeed become a thing

If the claim that the British Anglicized "Igbo" by calling it "Ibo", why did same not apply to Yoruba words/places like Ogbomosho, Osogbo, Oyingbo, etc that have the sound "gb" which is present in the Yoruba alphabet but not in the English alphabet?
