For the new Consular Portal,you'll need an Admission letter,blocked account with 11,904 Euro or preferably a letter of commitment/sponsorship, get this first and I think you are good to go. The old portal no longer exist. The Earlier the better,so you can join those on the waiting list.

Please has the embassy forgotten us waiting for an AD? Any recent updates on the AD issues? It's like they just halted or something.

Thank you for your response. I do not have any admission yet, so ill have to wait till I get the admission letter before I jump into the que. Any advise on how to get the letter of commitment/sponsorship? and kindly share the link to the new consular portal.

ID containing the deponent's signature along with you: Please, what if the despondent is illiterate? would thumbprinted affidavit not suffice since there is no ID containing the deponent's signature ? Your help please !!!

If you have someone resident in Germany,they are in the right position to help you with Sponsorship letter,but please take note that he or she will be accessed to ascertain that he or she can sort out your living expenses while you are in Germany. If you have someone there,ask the person to walk into the Foreign office over there and ask questions, he or she will be told on what to do.
I don't have much idea into it,as I'm using a Block account in my own case.

Thank you for your response. The summer vacation one doesn't make sense, if AD comes from the German embassy here in Nigeria, and are attending to those whose ADs had been scheduled. I'm just thinking maybe those who rescheduled is the cause but not certain though.
However, yes, let's hope they resume at fast pace when they begin again because some of us waiting are looking forward to joining the 2025 winter semester.

September 1st is d deadline for you accepting that offer, you can accept now and start your enrollment on time before your interview date, or have u not gotten AND?

Yes, in 2025, your affidavit must come from a high court with it's new letterhead. The old version typed out on an A4 would be rejected. Either of your parents or the head of your family would go along with you with a government issued ID card (NIN, voters card also acceptable) to get it done.

Whoever signs your affidavit is whose details you would go with to the embassy for your interview.

If one of your parents deposed your declaration of age, you'll bring an ID containing the deponent's signature along with you to the visa interview.

Or

If your declaration of age was sworn by anyone who stands as the head of your family, you'll attend the visa interview with an ID showing their signature, AND (1) death certificate or (2) letter of illiteracy from one of your parents.

Someone has to depose your declaration of age at a high court, and it can't be you.

Hello please for some who has little discrepancies on his name. Will affidavit from magistrate court suffice?

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question. But if I were you, I will gather the right documents, prepare for my written test and honour the 11th of August invitation. Afterall, what will it cost you?
On a side note, I have discovered that booking in the new portal now gets closer appointment than in time past. I think that the embassy is trying to correct the long waiting time.

After you got an email from them on your supposedly wrong email address,you would have emailed to ask them to confirm if that mail & appointment date is valid. But no harm in trying,just prepare for your Interview and your written test.

Yea i asked but they are not giving me direct response,they just said i should check the FAQ and all after checking that i saw where they said that any appointment confirmed till on the 14th of this month remain valid and i booked on the 19th of this month
So i am confused for real,and that is because of the block account.if i block my account and the appointment is not valid and i had to wait for a year or something with this new portal issue it will be a problem that is why i am very reluctant

No, this link is supposed to be for Category A students, people have just been sharing it saying you can get an appointment through it. It says clearly in the email that you are to bring he documents requested on the consular services portal. You're supposed to use this link after you've booked on the portal, had your documents verified and been told to book an appointment. They havent started attending to Category B on the portal at all. The waiting time on the portal is calculated based on how many applications have been submitted. It flunctuates and isn't always accurate.

Hello everyone. Please I need someone who has gone for the interview to reply. So, for the old visa application portal where you just put your email, passport number and some other few information. After I applied last year September, they sent me a confirmation email BUT I deleted the email by mistake. So my question is, is that particular confirmation email an important document for the interview? Please someone should reply me 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 and if it is, is there a way I can another one?
