You know that explaining basic things to your kind amounts to pouring water in an empty basket.

I will pass.
^^^
cheesy

Thank you for 'passing'.

I'm not taking the bait. "My kind" will defer to a superior, well articulated argument when we see one. You are incapable of providing such an argument and choose instead to mask your deficiency with poor attempts at sarcasm.

Your man goofed. Admit it! grin

imagine what this one is saying here.....u think u will get spending power if they don't make dat sacrifices....can y pay 5k for a cup of milk..... Encourage the government , I know they are corrupt but they definitely Know more than u know... Defend ur currency until ur economy become stable n active...and besides this mess was done by Buhari tenure when corruption was at the top.
We had ten times more spending power under Buhari even though he was defending the Naira , Tinubu is still defending the Naira and our spending power is 10;times less

Nigeria is the 4th largest economy in Africa!

Lagos is the 4th largest economic city in Africa!

What is your point? Please check your facts again.

Why do you people love to tell fables and lamba? The guy said Lagos is the 3rd largest economy in Africa and I asked him how is it possible. Now you want to save face by twisting the narrative to mean city. We already know that information on Lagos being the largest city and it is a collective effort of all Nigerians living there. If you chase all of them away Lagos will not be the largest.

Why shouldn't he say it? Is it forbidden? Forbidden by who?
He has the responsibility to defend the naira in leading by example. As a leader the buck stops at your table.

Putinofrussia:
Lagos State's GDP is projected to reach N66.47 trillion in 2025, according to the Lagos State Government. This represents a growth from N54.77 trillion in 2024, with real GDP growth expected to be between 5.02% and 6.49%, according to Lagos State. The state's economy is also estimated to be $259 billion based on Purchasing Power Parity (PPP), making it Africa's second-largest city economy after Cairo .
Oga stop trying to be half clever, you said Lagos is the 3rd largest economy in Africa, which is false and now you want to use ranking of cities in Africa to twist the fact that you have been caught in the false information you gave. Instead of admitting that you gave a wrong information on Lagos being the 3rd largest economy in Africa.

So what is your complaint?

You just lied about Obasanjo's government. The Obasanjo's government gave monetary gratification to:

₦1M each to Super Falcons
₦1M each to Scrabble Team members
₦57M to U-19 Female National Team
₦27M to Flying Eagles (U-21) team

Go and do your research properly before spewing misinformation and lies on nairaland.
So whose govt was the originator of the famous "handshake"

That is the true value of your Naira. We can only try to get better value for naira by improving our exports across industries and reducing our inports.
What has been done for the past two years to improve exports? How much results have it yielded so far?

Oga stop trying to deflect. The person who I was replying to said Lagos is the third largest economy in Africa which is false and misleading. How can Lagos be the third largest economy in Africa when Nigeria of which Lagos is under is 4th?

Do you have any evidence they were paid in a foreign currency?
Bro relax and think about this. Am not saying they were paid in foreign currency. But does it make sense when a president of a country is talking to is country citizen about rewarding then for a job they did for their country and he didn't mentioned the reward in it's country currency but another country's currency?
I asked again, if it were Japan, china, Russia etc so you think they would have mentioned USD?
