The North grudgingly agreed for GEJ, after he had been substantive President for 1 year, to win the 2011 election with the proviso he would leave in 2015 after having spent 5 years in power.

This is why many Northern leaders, and even Yoruba leaders like Tinubu, aided GEJ to win in 2011. Below were the prominent candidate for the 2011 election GEJ won. Despite the presence of strong Northerners like Shekarau and Bhuhai

Tinubu did not lift a finger to help Ribadu in the SW despite superior ACN strength in the region because of the unspoken deal to let GEJ have a term to give him 5 year in power in total.

For emphasis contrast with 2015, when everyone considered the turn of the North and were determined to make such happen so GEJ's treachery would not have dire consequences for Nigeria. Buhai, who had never won a SW State in thre previous attempt to be President, won every Yoruba State bar Ekiti then under PDP Fayose.

Problem is that Nigerians followers are too naive and lacking critically definitive knowledge/information that can make major issues crystal clear .

2015, was a crucial year in Nigeria's history because you were still in the moon at the time. Jonathan delayed his declaration of intent to run amid these pressures from the northern canals who were bent on having power returned to the North despite Jonathan's performance indices, I guess you know the irabiji born politician can't come anywhere close to that indices. After securing a nod from the intellectual Northern elites and some interest groups he proceeded to declare his intention to run.

Then came the rancor. The western part of the South stood with their leaders to oppose a Southern brother. And most of the lies told came from western owned media houses, by southwest politicians especially Tinubu who had already stood against Jonathan's part removal of fuel subsidy.

There is no color you can color this but to see that southwest has betrayed the rest of the south just to gain political prominence built on failed lies and failure itself.
