A 🇺🇸 US F-35 fighter jet crashed at Naval Air Station Lemoore in central California on Wednesday, the Navy confirmed.

"The pilot successfully ejected and is safe. There are no additional affected personnel," NAS Lemoore said in a statement.

At 4:30 local time, an "F-35C attached to the VFA-125 'Rough Raiders' went down not far from NAS Lemoore," the statement continued.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.

Such a tragedy! I think the USA aviation and its airforce needs to have a robust systemic management mechanism put in place to checkmate the crashes often witness by its aircrafts.

They have thousands of aircraft available to replace the ones that crash. As tragic as these incidents are, they often lead to improvements in future aircraft models through lessons learned.
