Stop selling ur ancestral lands with graves inside to strangers if you don't want strangers to have a say in lagos. I know it painful seeing strangers buying up everywhere but it's what it's. Live with that bro
So are you trying to claim Igbos in Enugu, Imo, Anambra, Abia and Ebonyi don't sell lands to strangers?

Ikaeniyan0:
Almost every part of Lagos state was part of the Western state before it was split.

Yorubas own almost every part of Lagos while Eguns own the rest
If Lagos is own by Yorubas and Eguns as you said, why then borrowed a name from Portugal that was named after it?

Are Portuguese part of Nigeria or is Portugal not a sovereign nation?

Are Igbos not part of Nigeria?
The British forcefully took over your “lands” and converted it to a company.

Charly boy owed his landlady for 7 years and refused to pay rent. Regardless its very petty of bariga lga to change the bus stop name. Many of those ruling lagos today are not even from lagos

Bro, I don't have the strength to answer this your chidish question. Even a student in JSS 1 shouldn't be asking this kind of question. You need to reason better than this

Lagos is not my land take note of that. So Portuguese were sent packing from Lagos by the British, is that what you're saying right?

The bus stop name was not officially Charly boy. I see no big deal in what the government has done.

Obiano changed Abakaliki street to Club street. All this things nah normal thing in Nigeria

They want to silence all igbos in Lagos because of the outcome of 2023 presidential election where Obi won Mr Lagos builder in Aso
Are you related to Lagos or any SW state?.
If you're not related, swerve to the other side.
This issue of Igbos sticking their nose in Lagos matters, is the Bleep we are dealing with, at the moment.
Why should my tenant challenge my authority in my estate?, this nonsense going on since Lugard must stop.
Yorubas never had any contact with Igbos before 1914, if there was any post it.

That is not the answer to my question.

Are Igbos not part of Nigeria or Igbo is a sovereign nation like Nigeria? Is Lagos itself land of Yorubas?
Imagine this nonsense, Araba ni baba, eni a ba laba ni baba.
When the British arrived in Lagos, oba Kosoko was in charge, the British had to go to war with Oba Kosoko, in other to seize the control of Lagos.
Kosoko lost to British fire power and was exiled to Epe, and was replaced by a stooge named Oba Dosumu.
When the struggle for independence started, the British trying to hold on to Lagos, claimed Lagos was sold to them.
An Idejo chief, Amoda Tijani a wealthy business man, dragged the colonialists to court in England, and won.
He was even compensated to the tune of 20, 000 pounds.
Since in your delulu mind, Lagos doesn't belong to the Yoruba, who are the owners of Lagos?.

There are consequences for every action. What you’re seeing now is the consequence.

It’s really sad that the Yorubas who traditionally value living peacefully with strangers have reached this point.
Re: Fashola Weighs In On Lagos Street Naming Controversy, Warns Against Erasing by DomPerignon: 11:35am On Jul 30, 2025
If I recall, street naming in Lagos as per non major artery roads but that connecting nominal neighbourhoods used to be done by naming the street after the first individual to develop his or her property on said street lane

That's why if you take any random street in say Mushun surbhub you will find that the individual whose name bears the street has a residence or building on same street.
