I am a nigerian in diaspora and havent been to nigeria in almost 20 years, but have been running a business there.

I have a dom account I kept funds there and was told it would be recalled to CBN if remained dormant for a period, so i reactivated it, after so much protracted delay, pain and headache and trying to transfer part of the funds out to my personal bank account

[b]But the staff keep dribbling me, its going over a year and nothing. [/b]I have had a GTB account and never ever had an issue once

I have gotten access to a few of the 1st bank staff, who just keep apologising and promising get, this, get that, tomorrow, but still nothing

Their complaints department only responds with an apology and the dribbling continues

Please help, please keep it polite

Send an email to your banks and Cc the CBN. To get an audience easily, take it to X and make a tweet, then tag both CBN and your banks. Nigerian organizations fear X more than anything.

A lady had issues with a particular fintech yesterday or so involving about $18k or so. She took it to X and got it sorted.

The only way you're likely to get those funds is if you appear at the bank physically.


The incidence of identity theft is on the high side that's why the bank is trying to be careful

I used GTB for over 17 years for my software business, every month and never had an issue, first bank is on another level of wickedness

They should change their name to first bank football club of dribblers

First bank staff are so so wicked.

Amazing, they replied asap and effected the transfer. I had to go lie down, as my blood pressure went up

do you have access to their app, if so tell them you want to move the money into their Asset management portfolio and want to buy first bank shares with it. They will open it, then move your money
