Obolo State Creation Resisted.

"The entire Akwa Ibom Coastline is Ibibioland.
No Obolo State on Ibibioland. No inch of Ibibioland will be conceded to settlers for a state."

Interesting times ahead during the planned constitutional amendment process in Nigeria.

If Lagoon State is created, then it means the 3 Ijebu ancestral LGAs of Ikorodu, Epe, and Ibeju-Lekki including Ajah would merge with the rest of Ijebuland in Ogun State right across the border (from where they were originally carved out from in the Old Western Region on May 27, 1967 to form the newly created Lagos State). The proposed Ijebu State would be the final outcome and that would lead to the loss of The Lekki Free Trade Zone, Dangote Petrochemical Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, the Lekki Deep Sea Port and the proposed Lekki-Epe International Airport among other big-ticket investments.

However, this Obolo State is more like Ijaw expansionism from Akwa Ibom Coastline to the Ondo Coastline in a bid for Obolo and Toru-Ebe which will not happen without a strong resistance BECAUSE all these people from Akwa Ibom to Delta (Itsekiris), Edo and Ondo say Ijaws are settlers. It's surprising that Ijaws are NOT challenging the authorities of Cameroon and Benin Republic over any territories but chose to stick to WITHIN Nigerian boundaries.

Enemies everywhere. They are not even united.

The day Nigeria will divide. Minorities in SS will fight a civil war among themselves.
