This is a lie! I have never borrowed from them. Or clicked any loan buttons. They can't even clearly explain the deductions. They will only say card transactions. GTBank is becoming criminal! I wonder why they are still functioning...

It is GTBank. They did same to me and lots of people. Mine was over 200k. The worst part of it is that, they will claim it's a card transaction and will never give details of what was purchased or paid for.
It's a scam! Gtbank ran into hacking problems a few years back, they also arrested about 4 content creators who exposed the ordeal online, I am not sure those guys have been released yet. Gtbank lost billions of Naira (depositors funds) in the attack but they covered it from the public and are now making illegal and fraudulent deductions from customers account (whether you have a balance or not).
I called their customer care person from the head office, she couldn't explain clearly what happened about the deductions and next she stopped picking my calls. I went to their branch, they also couldn't explain anything....
I just abandoned the account with -90,000 after they had fraudulently deducted over 100,000 for their unexplained transactions. Transactions without OTP, no email notifications, no SMS notifications about these transactions. These deductions were not even in the transaction history.
I wanted to follow up with CBN, but I no get the energy and not sure if I will even get justice.

I think this explanation is more credible. There should be nothing like negative transaction, even 0 naira in account is absurd.once it is 1,000 naira in account then there should be a promt for it not to go less than that amount

Lol you don't need a Salary account to qualify for a Wema loan my ordinary Savings account gives from 100 to 200 monthly.... The salary account gives higher I think that's the difference and they've also called me to change to Current that I will be eligible for a higher loan...

It happens to a friend of mine. When I went through his statement of account, I discovered that there was a particular money that entered his account 300k. He withdrawn the money and later the transaction was reversed leaving him negative balance. I simply asked him to contact the person that sent the money.
The person later agreed that the money was reversed to his account

He should hold those people closer to him, like his spouse, friends, or siblings; the ban is innocent. To take a salary advance or something like quick credit from GTbank is as simple as just dialing their USSD code on your phone. With that, I can take quick credit to the tune of N20M.

Someone has linked that account with aa fintech for Auto debit.

Fairmonie app and Cdcare can do that if you grant them them the access through NIBBS.

I even went to complain to their customer care but the werey was insisting that I was the one who borrowed money . Na instantly I break my ATM card right in their presence and I walked out of their bank angrily

As at that time, there was nothing like GTB payday loan or the 737 loan stuff.

Secondly, even GTB never said it was a loan, they kept saying a transaction was done when the balance was below the initiated amount.

How on earth would a transaction pass through in a savings account with no history of overdraft or whatever if truly the account balance was insufficient to handle the transaction?.

I even saw his 6 month's bank statement running into hundreds of millions.

Someone within the system must have played a fast one or a total system glitch.


Next time, don't just type for typing sake, especially when you're ignorant of the facts.
