Ogun State is the new frontier for investment in West Africa. Dangote Group is building its deep seaport in Ogun State as well

Indeed, but I wonder what's gonna happen to all these deep seaports being built or planned for other states such as the Badagry deep seaport in Lagos, the Olokola EPZ in Ondo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Bayelsa States as this can lead to an over extension or overstretching and hence lack of patronage IMHO.

That's a total of 6 already (which includes the planned Dangote seaport in Ogun State).

They keep crying unnecessary. Authur Eze the richest igbo made money from government under IBB and he said so early this year just like others tribes too, but he choose to build a hotel in Enugu international airport even when he is into oil and gas business. Yorubas are silent billionaires because you keep seeing them doing big things. Adeleke just completed a 2b dollars power plant. They don't make niose.

Dangote announced his refinery project during Goodluck Jonathan regime, he only began construction during buhari regime and if buhari had promised him of subsidy removal, why didn't he remove it during his regime?

Indeed verything you wrote up there is absolutely correct. The global oil and gas industries are going no where in the Western countries anytime soon despite the advent of renewable energy. Some of the posters here just talk about the thinks they know absolutely NOTHING about including the goings on in the global energy mix ecosystem.

Majority of them no nothing about neo colonialism, it’s simply means new colonial style.They brainwash our leaders and mislead them while they are using the refineries to create massive employment for their people in their own country , buying crude still, refining and still sell to us here for forex.

And as a result of lack of job here, our people go to do menial jobs over there

Look , job creation alone will solve a lot of problems, including security because it will be engage people there by keeping them off crime, do you know how many people refineries will employ , it will also reduce importation and demand for dollars, fuel is the number 1 consumer good , that’s what we import most in Nigeria, never argue again establishment of any thing that will provide jobs no matter how the colonists try to brainwash you, do you know how much they celebrate provision of jobs in US, availability of employment opportunities

BINL is also building a 500,000bpd refinery capacity in Ondo state, BUA refinery is coming on board anytime soon.

It’s understandable for china, they don’t have oil, Saudi , USA and others are still gearing for oil production even though they are talking about electric cars, they are still fighting over oil assets, major drilling companies are still drilling the last time I checked, and china progress in electric vehicle manufacturing should not be enough reason for Nigeria not to build refineries
French -Total, British-SHELL , America - Agip and Chevron are still drilling

Imagine if all the non-oil producing stop using oil and switch over to renewable energy and electric vehicles. Common sense should that oil dependent economies are sitting on a time bomb.
