adicius:The best feed for cows is grass. Those feed that fatten cows are mostly not healthy, especially for human consumption. Grass-fed beef is the best actually. |

Mariangeles:Sounds good in theory How do you prove this What is the objective measure of HEALTHY It is easy to throw words around but in science you have to define and measure EVERYTHING Like what is GRASS? There are so many plant species called GRASS as to make that assertion meaningless Cows can do well on a mix of foods like yam maize cassava carrots sugarcane leaves of specific trees and so on To declare grass as BEST needs something more than feelings |

aribisala0:No cow good for wakajugbe. Na primitive method of animal husbandry. If cow dey ranch dey chop belle full with short distance movement around. E go produce high yield milk and meat. Wakawaka dey contribute to low yield of milk and meat |

Kwara state did something similar between 2009/2010 by bringing diary cows to Songa farms from Zimbabwe during ABS tenure, the project got off to a good start but I can't say the same after the government of ABS . I hope these goes well especially because of the huge investments made by the government of the day on this project because we are not used to this kind of venture in NG. |

1mansolder:If not for the forced union, I see no reason why one region will be holding down the destiny of other regions! Any region can easily trade with other countries that have competitive advantage of trade on products they need. |

This is nice...! Well done, Kenya. So, other than crude oil, what exactly do we export that makes us Billions of Naira every year?!! I mean... You can't be resource-rich yet can't build a stable economy on Exports. |

The senior citizens from Kenya flying first-class to meet their counterparts in Nigeria. I prophecy that these senior citizens will own properties in Lekki, already ranches are being built all round the country to accommodate them. These ranches will be in city centres off course. Prepare to be boarded!! |

SporaD8:You raise some good points. In fact it is the issue of competitive advantage that saw the South cede livestock agriculture and animal husbandry, related to Cattle etal, to the North wholly. That now has to stop because there is nothing the North is not using mlalevolently today to blackmail the South over political power. It is however not right to ignore livestock from the North and import. That is an act of agressjon no President, however well-meaning, will look good enacting. What would be a good solution would be for the South to engage in livestock and crop agriculture to secure food sufficiency. That would be a development the North would not be able to criticise publicly because it remains the prerogative of the South to engage in commercial livestock and food crop agriculture to feed the people in the region since the North wishes to use her monopoly of those malevolenty. What is shown below is from 2021 and I am personally exasperated it takes Southern Leaders so long, after the North has openly put them on notice, to act and secure solutions against food war they know the North will always deploy against the South as the main tool of blackmail she has.. Everything always takes ages because of the lack of focua and application of Nigerian leaders. https://www.icirnigeria.org/food-insecurity-blockade-by-north-forces-south-to-rethink-agriculture/ During the blockade embarked on by northern traders under the aegis of the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuffs and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AUFCDN), staple food items such as beef and vegetables, including tomatoes and onions, became scarce in the South, leading to an astronomical rise in the cost of foodstuffs.
