My Toyota corolla 2006 is having movement issue.

When it happens the car begins to sound like a throttle being pressed but very slow movement till it comes to a halt. The car whether in drive does not move or even in neutral cannot be pushed.

Before it starts the movement episode it would raise a little then Jack forward to move as normal

Then when you leave the car to cool day like 3hrs.
You can then move it.

My mech is thinking between fuel pump or gear.
Note that I have never worked on the gear before. The oil is also not black. Since I bought it in 2019. Naija used but in very pristine condition from some one who was relocating overseas reason for being sold.

Pls what is the probable cause

Greetings my country people, my Sienna 2001 hardly engages from gear 2 upwards without high RPM. I haven't done any repairs in the gear. Assist me with solution.

Greetings chief. Mine is seems it’s gear issues but some professionals have also suggested it to be sensors.
When I engage the gear on D it takes a little 3- 5 secs before it engages only on D mode.
R works fine. No delay.
However car transmits very well while on motion.
Moreso I do experience that when I have driven for long. The delay time extends. Sometimes 1 mins or more.

Physical inspection need to be done sir.but you might be having issue with ur breaking systerm. Still need to be inspected and run a scan tho.

The hose going to the highlighted nipple . That’s the one that was not fixed

I don't know if your issue is resolved. But I had a similar experience where my mechanic did same for me. My RX300 couldn't idle, if I remove My leg from the throttle, the car would off. But the style of blocking that hose made the RPM to raise above 1000 or so and car work fine (not really, at least stopped going off)

After few days of my little research, I learnt It was the sensor under the throttle body that was dirty. (Cant remember the name but not MAF)

I removed it (not easy though) clean It and revert the hose thing to normal and my car behave normal.

Check transmission oil level

Which will be more reliable and easier to maintain between a 2008 avalon and 2005 es330. Also is it worth considering a 2011 honda accord, all Nigerian used

Things to check and service
If your car comes with a transmission fluid heat exchanger aka filter, change it along with the transmission fluid.DO two flushes, it helps.

You meant the throttle positioning sensor.\\\\\\\\\since it now works try and buy a new one and have it programmed t work with your car.

No, it was the IACV sensor.

Personally, I aways prefer newer car models to older models. So if I were in your shoes, I'd go for the 2011 accord.

It's maintenance should also be cheaper.

My second option would be the 2008 avalon.

Although I will like to get more understanding of what you mean. However. I use a 2014 Toyota Sienna XLE
I just went to change my oil but couldn’t get to find where to first gaged the transmission oil to know the level.
