Silentgroper:A whole defending champions conceding 4 goals to a mid table Milan team is more disgraceful than narrowly losing by 1 goal to city rivals with nothins at stake. |

dominique:I am not a Liverpool fan and I am not trolling...You were quick to dismiss the chances of Liverpool ahead of the new season of a friendly loss and that is the point I am trying to correct. |

This RHS concentration is one thing that needs to change absolutely. I recall the man city game or so when the entirety of attack was on the LHS and Nwaneri kept beckoning for the ball. Nobody looked up to see he was miles with space. They kept passing crap back and forth on the left. Then Rice looked up, and instantly gave him that long pass and booom!!! A goal Over 27 useless, needless passes on the Left compared to 4 Touches on the right and a goal. Same needs to happen on the right. Especially if this man doesn't want to make that LHS work and distribute concentration evenly so Saka can be even closer to the edge of the box like Nwaneri was that day. |

dominique:A defending champions with a whole new setup and an experimental system in a experimental game .. yeah .. I'd gladly lose to know where things might go wrong to avoid them when the league starts.. But by the way , we already got a trophy in place .. Looks like you lost one to spurs already ... . It's now already doubtful who the superior one is in north London cause spurs seems to getting trophies while y'all keep celebrating 2nd position every gaddemm season ... |

Silentgroper:Yawns! A ceremonial friendly is what you're calling trophy. In hindsight, I'm glad we didn't win the match, that's how our players would have been put through that clowenery display. If we had won, it's people like you that will still troll us that this is the only type of trophy Arsenal can win. Make una eat your trophy abeg, we don't want ![]()

How Chelsea Is Once Again Saving the Premier League Through Smart Transfer Dealings Chelsea Football Club has always had a way of shaking the foundations of English football. When Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003, the Premier League was still far from being the global powerhouse it is today. Back then, Serie A was the benchmark, both financially and in terms of star power. English football, while historic and passionate, was largely insular, with Manchester United and Liverpool clinging to a domestic-centric approach that didn’t reflect the true scale of football’s global market. Abramovich changed everything. By investing heavily in foreign talent and bringing world-class players and managers to Stamford Bridge, he not only turned Chelsea into an elite force but also dragged the Premier League into the modern football era. He internationalized the club and, in doing so, helped internationalize the league. The global spotlight began to shift, and soon the Premier League became the most watched, most marketable league in the world, thanks in no small part to Chelsea’s boldness and ambition. At the time, traditional powers like Manchester United and Liverpool were critical. They accused Chelsea of “buying success” while clinging to outdated methods. What they failed to realize was that Chelsea wasn’t just building a team, they were opening up the Premier League to the world. Fast forward to today, and history is repeating itself. Now under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, Chelsea is once again setting the pace. In an era where many clubs are weighed down by bloated wages and aging squads, Chelsea is executing a forward-thinking transfer strategy: investing in young, high-potential players on long-term contracts with controlled wages. It’s not just about building for now, it’s about building sustainably for the next decade. While critics have been quick to mock the volume of transfers or question the model, the logic is sound. Locking in talent early, developing it internally, and avoiding the trap of short-termism, Chelsea is playing the long game. In a financial landscape increasingly scrutinized by UEFA and the Premier League’s own regulations, this model might well be the future of smart football business. Meanwhile, some of the traditional powerhouses, once again, seem stuck in old habits, focusing on marquee signings or holding onto legacies rather than evolving with the game. Just as Abramovich helped raise the ceiling for the Premier League, Boehly and his team are pushing the boundaries of what modern football clubs can be. Chelsea’s story is, in many ways, the story of the Premier League’s transformation. Twice now, they’ve been the catalyst, first for global exposure, now for financial and structural evolution. Say what you will about the club, but when the history of the Premier League is written, Chelsea won’t just be a part of it, they’ll be one of the clubs that shaped it. |

iamoyindamola:As in eh else Madueke really shut everyone up big time... Nobody should complain about Saka being Double / Triple marked when almost everybody knows the other side is nothing but utter toothless ![]() |

MSGAMBLE9:Madueke played most of his games in Chelsea as a LW Hopefully he turns up We also need something different from odegaard I just read Madrid are lining up £78m plus asencio and guler for saliba The deal will sum up £110 world record for a defender |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by MSGAMBLE9: 7:24pm On Aug 03, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:Ascencio is a very calamitous defender a disaster with questionable decision-making, so a big NO... Guler is even ahead of Rodrygo now in pecking order for Alonso which will be a no-nos for the Manager... Arsenal should keep their man... |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 7:27pm On Aug 03, 2025 |
MSGAMBLE9:No way are they going to pay him close to what he is asking but they are offering him 2 years. If he is getting anything close or more than 150K from Villarreal then it is worth it. He would also be playing in the UCL this upcoming season. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 7:37pm On Aug 03, 2025 |
iamoyindamola:Madrid have established that he remains a priority but I doubt Saliba moves this season. I think he gets his well-deserved extension and if we don’t win meaningful trophies, he would move to Madrid for that world record, it may be even more. |

iamoyindamola:Asencio ke? Na so they hate us reach . We just signed one smallie defender from French league, maybe he's going to be Saliba's replacement in the years to come. As far as this season is concerned, Saliba goes nowhere! Real should look elsewhere for defenders |
