2025 has been a great year for Nigerian gospel music, a year that has witnessed both the reaffirmation of established voices and the emergence of new spiritual sounds. Gospel music, long known for its role in shaping culture, comforting hearts, and igniting revival, has continued to evolve, blending local languages with contemporary sounds, praise with protest, and tradition with bold innovation. In July, this momentum only grew stronger. Mercy Chinwo reaffirmed her place as a gospel powerhouse with a string of soul-stirring releases that dominated playlists and prayer sessions alike. That Adahzion is just a wonder. I'm not Igbo, but my spirit isn't limited by human language and I truly feel her songs. Music is a language in the spirit. People of old use music to call down all manner of spirits including the Spirit of God. Na why I no get any Davido or their likes for my phone. God bless all artistes that birth songs from the Spirit. |

Only 2 songs on this list were released in 2025 Sounds of Salem - We Will Be Many ft Lawrence Oyor and Moses Akoh and Mercy Chinwo - Too Many Reasons ft Chioma Jesus And if you say it wasn't the release month, but rather what is trending now, then where is 'No Turning Back' by Gaise and Lawrence? |
