You collect all our money to go spend on airport in lagos so that the monopoly of lagos to other regions continues. Why not the airport in abuja which is the center. 2027 is around the corner. When you spend our collective savings. Your people will be all over social media saying lagos igr is the highest and lagos belongs to SW |

Streetinvestor2:I'm sure you read the part of the underutilization of the new ones built (30%). You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. Cost benefit analysis for the investment makes sense. |

SalamRushdie:We have to be very careful the way we make comparisons. The new airport in Istanbul that was opened in 2018 cost over 11 billion dollars. When Buhari announced $500M loan for 4 airports renovations i knew nothing world class would come out of project.I agree our politicians including Keyamo are thieves, but that Lagos airport total overhaul can't cost below $1bn. |

Every administration renovates Lagos airport. 712 billion naira? How much does that airport generate in revenue? This is madness! |

Streetinvestor2:Ask yourself this simple question. How much is Abuja airport generating? This is why most you and your leaders find it hard to develop your village. You spend money on areas that generate little or no income. The airport has generated the most revenue for federal government and deserves to be upgraded and maintained. |

This back to back looting is befuddling and can't be real. APC literally took wastage of public funds to a ridiculous level. They are doing what they accused the PDP government of ,in several folds. This is sickening, they are pillaging the nation back to back without any empathy to the groaning and hopelessness of the masses. I am gobsmacked! ADC: HERE WE COME!!! |

Misplaced priority, the proceeds from subsidy removal shouldn't be spent on renovations and reconstruction of airport Many Nigerians are suffering due to this removal. The best option is to spend this proceed on programs that will alleviate their suffering Moreover,we have airports that are under utilize. Why can we decongest Lagos Airports and save ourselves all these wahala. |

They should go ahead and give the busiest airport in Nigeria proper facelift.. since those ones have refused to use the Ebonyi airport built by Umahi, then money should be spent on the Lagos airport to make it standard. |
| Re: Why We Are Spending ₦712 Billion To Renovate Lagos Airport — Keyamo by aribisala0(m): 1:45am On Aug 04, 2025 |
koxyz:Who said it is proceeds from subsidy Doesn't the airport generate revenue The airport is a business that pays its way several times over It is not a favour it has customers who bring in money and some of that money should be spent on the airport like any other business The issue is transparency regarding the revenues This is separate from customs which was 100 billion in 2023 |

Oga hope you included your own share. But my only concern is that must everything revolve around LAGOS We have other states in Nigeria. Warri, PORTHARCOURT, kano is their. But this administration is just hellbent on overcrowding lagos for their selfish gains |
