That's why I said except he's in jail or dead, there's no justification for him not to have called even if it's just for a minute.

Only people who have been there can tell. Not everyone will tell you what they are really going through, I have heard of folks who left Nigeria comfortably, landed in Canada exchange rate changes messed up their school fees had to leave school, no money for rent and landed in Homeless shelter. Shey na person wey dey homeless shelter wan dey prioritize calling friends? The shame of his current situation wont even let him breathe.

One of my classmates in this same Yankee, On group whatsapp chats we suddenly stopped hearing from him, around 2020, people reached out to him multiple times, he didnt pick. It was late last year that I heard he had a stroke and lost function of his limbs and body functions. and still recovering. Obviously his wife and family took over his phone and shut it off
