Only 2 years and we are witnessing this huge boom.....what happens after 8 years of break neck speed of growth and development......

And some fulani bandits will be telling us stories.....only the jobless and lame are hungry.

Dino Melaye the other day on TV wearing a RM watch of N600 million was shouting of hunger. He has a car pool worth over N10 billion in his house. Can he not sell just half and use the money to feed poor people in his ward? Of course not, he wants to come and steal more.

Our eyes don clear about the coalition of bandits and religious fanatics.

So much wealth is being created through the stock market.

Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of Nigerians don't participate because they don't know it exists, or don't know how it operates, or don't have the money to buy shares, or are afraid the prices will fall again.
All the reasons you adduced are correct. You only failed to mention the fact that Nigerian youths who claim to be educated and exposed are too lazy for anything that could task their brain and hence their non participation in the largest .

Making money in shares require a bit of exercise which people are not ready to do.

Incredible to see Nigerian stock investors pocketing ₦25.7 trillion in gains over just seven months—talk about a bull run! The NGX All-Share Index surging 48.6% is a testament to the market's strength, but the looming threat of a correction has me thinking strategically. Sectors like technology and consumer discretionary might take a bigger hit in a downturn due to their high valuations and sensitivity to economic shifts, while staples and utilities could hold steadier as safe havens. For those still in the game, it wise to lock in some profits now and diversify into defensive assets like gold or even healthcare stocks, which tend to weather corrections better.

Could this be the reason for the increase in interest in my PFA account.

In July alone I saw interest of about 2M plus added to my account from a total money of about 31M plus that was in the account as at 30 June.

I was surprised to see the interest as high as that in just 1 months, that is a bout 6.5% interest in just 1 month.

“A painful reality of the equities market is its natural volatility. If macroeconomic conditions are inspiring and corporate fundamentals are strong, equities will remain profitable and liquid. No market sustains a rally indefinitely even in the best of time. Investors need to preserve their gains through sound risk management”.

The record breaking windfall came along with monetary policy and broader macroeconomic shifts which spurred increased domestic and foreign investor confidence.

Thank you President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. May God bless you and bless Nigeria for ever!
Stop giving credit to a clueless and failed govt that did nothing.
It is the collapse of crypto players e.g. Cybex that made a lot of funds to be rushed into the stock market in the last 3 months.

The business community and investors are already enjoying the positive impact of the reforms. Very soon the "common man"in the voice of ever-angry insatiable obedients will start to see the impact but politicians who are already smiling to the bank will still continue to play on people's intelligence like the one who said he was hungry and few days later paid #30m for the venue of his birthday bash. Personally, even though nothing goes up forever, I do believe the Nigerian stock market is on a bull run for the next several years.

It will inevitably fall a little here and there but it will bounce back to push ahead again, and again.

Mr Tinubu's reforms have unshackled the Nigerian economy in a way Nigeria has not seen in nearly 65 years of independence.

The economy is only just starting.

Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

An active stock market doesn't exactly mean a healthy economy.

There are winners and losers and investors protect themselves or/and make money in good and bad economy aslong as the monetary policies are favorable.

(A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors).

During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely Unclad. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The Unclad chicken was staggering in pain. stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet.

Joseph stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ?

Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's House during this Sallah period to go collect peanuts? People trooping to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Foundation offices to collect branded One kilo bag of Rice & Noddles. Did you see the number of people of all ages who troop out to welcome Ex- convict James Ibori to South South! Do you see the number of handle mop following obi as if he is a seat? what of the one following dino malaye?

Your guess is as good as mine. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! Pass to all your contacts & let your Political & Religion Leaders read, understand & digest.

Nigeria losing battle against hunger as food inflation persists

August 3, 2025

Three years ago, Jelili Adewale, a father of three living in Lagos, needed N100,000 every month to feed his family. Today, he spends more than double with stagnant income.

“I earn N300,000 monthly, but food alone takes up almost N200,000 now,” he says. “That’s nearly 70 percent of my salary gone before we talk about rent, school fees, or transport.”

Jelili’s story is no longer uncommon. Across Nigeria, families are reeling under the weight of food inflation that has turned even basic meals into luxuries. From urban slums in Lagos to farming communities in Benue, the cry is the same: hunger is winning.
&
&
Experts say solving the food crisis requires more than policy tweaks; it demands a complete overhaul of how Nigeria approaches food systems.

“Yes, they’ve started bringing in tractors,” Kabiru acknowledged. “But a single tractor now costs N60 to N70 million. No smallholder farmer can afford that. We need group ownership, long-term repayment plans, or leasing systems.”

He also emphasised the need for affordable small equipment, improved research-to-farm linkages, and consistent government policies that encourage private sector investment.

“You can’t keep changing policies and expect the private sector to invest heavily,” he said. “The government owns no farms. Their job is to create an enabling environment, peace, access to credit, and support for technology adoption.”

What do you mean by the percentage of the people? You don't have to be a direct shareholder to benefit from a growing company. If you are not employed directly by one, you can be a distributor to one. You can even create a new business to service one.
Abi you wan make the government give you a million or two to play the stock market? Na im be say you go get grey hair waiting.
