As many people across Nigeria continue to opt for Solar which has proven to be a more cost effective way of powering their homes and businesses. One of the most important question they often ask is, “What will the solar energy system be able to power at home or office?”
In this article, we’ll give you a breakdown of some of the appliances that you’ll be able to power up in your home using a 3.5Kva Solar System.

Below is a breakdown for a 3.5Kva Solar System:

2 units - TV Set (120w each)
3 units – Standing fans (50w each)
1 unit - Freezer (150w)
1 Unit - Freezer (200w)
10 units - Lights bulbs (15w each)

Your Sockects – For charging your phones, Laptops and other gadgets will all be powered.

Pls Note: This example was given on the assumption that you’re using 4 units of Tubular (wet cell) batteries of 220Ah each for backup when the sun goes down at night. There’re people who prefer using up to 8 batteries, which gives them longer hours of uninterrupted power supply.

COST TO SETUP: N2.7 million

Pls Note: Cost may vary depending on multiple factors, like where the panels are to be installed (car porch, Roof of your house etc.).

Yeah, that's fine. But you can also opt for a "Solar Financing plan" which we also offer.

Solar panels can last over 10 - 15 years and even much more, but you'll need to change your Tubular batteries (Wet cell) every 3 - 4 years.

You can also decide to go fully off grid and not use Nepa light, but this will mean that you'll need to have a higher capacity Solar System that can power all your needs.

First I'll need to know the things that you'll like to power. Like what are the appliances that you'll like to power?

This is the only way I can know the kind of Solar System that will suit your needs

If your ACs are "Inverter ACs" then you can start with a 8.2Kva Solar System with 12 pcs of 220AH Tubular Batteries. But If you don't have such budgets, I'll advice you to go with a 4kva system that will power the appliances below;

- 2 Freezers
- All your lights (assuming they're energy saving bulbs)
- 1 Tv set
- Pumping machine
- 3 standing fans etc.

A 4kva system is about N2.8m
