The situation around the world has changed so much that the real purpose of the establishment of the church in all of the world and all of the denomination has also changed.

The establishment of the churches in the right sense of it was to convince and control the people around the world at that time.
It has worked out perfectly.
Now a day, the situation is different and those who really know what it is all about are doing what they are pleased with in the Church.

The situation in the religion circles have come around so much that the black people are the best in the business now.
As for the remaining Europeans and western world in the circles of religion practised are pretty good at downplaying all the seriousness that the colonised people are so much cherished.

The church of Nigeria Anglican communion should just keep their eyes open very well, as things are happening in the world of Anglican church.

God help us

This is what too much liberalism in the church will result to.Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Africans are so funny, the owner of religion wants a new dimension and we are complaining,is it our father's religion?after all, they sold it to us and we embraced it.They only forgot to tell us we can practice homosexuality then, now they remember why questioning them? They probably may even have a bible verse for it.

It took almost 2000 years after Christ before the Bible and Christianity got to us in this side of the world. We were not aware that anybody died for anybody. It it was now that the Bible/Christianity came, a lot worse could have been adjusted in the Books to suit themselves before bringing it to us.

Of course, we know that their culture was a huge influence on the Books/Writings that they brought to us.

Are some members of the Church of Nigeria not secretly traditionalists? Members of Ogboni and the likes? Please remove the log of wood from your own eye first.
You say "secretly". It is between them and God

Brother, understand the difference between institutional endorsement and individual behavior.
Adherents of the Ogboni Fraternity amongst members of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion are individuals who have refused to submit themselves to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion denounces Ogboni and the likes.

Cut the ties. To each their own. England and the English have since lost all sense of decency and gravitated deeply into decadence.
Severe any and every allegiance. Then take the gospel to them as missionaries.

The church frowns at it and any priest who is discovered to be involved is defrocked immediately.

For those who aren't priests, it is mandatory and announced that the church will not be involved with that person, that is if it doesn't lead to excommunication.

This was a law by the Anglican Church when the Church was criticised following the burial of the late Bola Ige. He was strongly Anglican from his childhood days to his death, unbeknownst to the church he was Rosicrucian, so Anglican Priests and laity are barred from attending or getting involved.
Oh Wow, this is interesting about Bola I've.
I've learned something new today.

That's actually how this whole mess started. By allowing some secret excesses fester, then boom, it's in their face!

Evolution will always happen there is nothing we can do about it.

Back in 2000
If a lady wear trouser it was looked at as OS. I remember vividly how a woman wearing trouser was seen as OS
Now girls wear trouser to work to church it is now normal.
They even wear far worse revealing clothes now.

It's called Cultural evolution
If this generation don't accept gays
The next generation will accept them

Then you will be old complaining about how youths lack morals.

The same way old people today talk about how they dressed cooperate and neat but guys of today piercing ears, braiding hairs, tattoos , rocking dada.

It's a cultural evolution.
Things that were seen as abomination in the past will be the in thing of the future.

Give Nigeria the next 2 generations
Gays will be openly accepted.
There is nothing you can do about it

As sad as it is,it is the date that awaits all civilization in this world. You can't stop it
If this generation fully accepts queer people, especially the Christian church, then the next thing on the agenda would be the human AI. Then the biblical sign of 666 would have come to fruition. I know human AI are already in existence in some countries, not just widespread yet.

As per Revd Vann, let's leave her alone cos she's 66 years old and she can't possibly be engaging in sexual intercourse at that age, moreso she's masculine, and more importantly, queer priests are under oath to maintain celibacy.

On a lighter note she is a musician, chances are high she would write one hit song to plead with you people. We ordinary Anglicans see the church as one.

Bola Ige's case is just one in a million cases that were left unattended until it looked normal before observers

Going by your logic, when are we going to evolve into accepting polygamy, drunkenness, adultery etc in the church?

You shouldn't place queerness with wearing trousers,it doesn't add up.

This nonsense started with Rowan Williams. His predecessor, Carey was openly against it even when he came to Nigeria in 2001, he was very livid with any suggestion towards that.

George Carey that ordained the first female priest in Anglican Communion ...
He laid the foundation for these absurdities we are witnessing today..

The Anglican church is literally a church that left the Catholic church coz their leader wanted to marry a second wife that is forbidden by the church.
The entire church is built on immortality and falsehood. Why do you suddenly expect the church to survive in righteousness? It'll only grow in the immorality it was built on
Sias by a confused catholic church that has priest that molest little boys both in Nigeria and in Rome...

Will gays and lesbians make heaven? I'm just asking.

There are many lesbians in the choir all over the world. Many lesbians actively doing the work of the church (or is the work of God in several churches), especially in Nigeria.

Will they go to heaven, assuming every other boxes have been ticked for heavenship?

Individual sins are different from institutionalised sin 😁😁😁.

The Catholic church has never told any person to molest children. People do it coz they are sinful.
Compare that with an institution as the anglican church where they refuse the teachings of Christ and allowed to cancel marriages at will... Where they ordain women which Christ never did... Where they approve homosaxuality as not sinful (approved by the institution oh and not just personal sin) and even let geys and lasbians to become clergy.

So... Type again what you said lemme see.

In the Catholic church there are members who are thieves, geys, criminals etc like in every place. But the difference is that the Catholic institution disapproves of all these immoralities whereas others accept them

Which Gods church? Most churches have left God. It’s just this “leaving” that’s loud. There have been “leaving” that’s subtle and that has led us to this; one major one is the Trinity doctrine which most churches believes in. Most churches are in reality temple road Satan

I have been saying it for almost seven years on this forum but what do i get in return from misinformed churchgoers?
Insults and curses!
[b]Jesus returned in the year 1914 and ever since then he's been working round the clock to separate the fine seeds from weeds {Matthew 13:24-30} after 17 years of his relentless effort Jesus finally completed the separation in the year 1931 that's the year God gave the fine seeds a new group name "Jehovah's Witnesses" {Isaiah 65:15} from that time till today that is the only religion on earth that is most hated by all religionists and politicians {Matthew 24:9} they labeled this group "Satanists" "Cult" "Freemanson" and so on {Matthew 10:24-25} in fact to make them look like evildoers in the sight of prospective converts they lied against them that they are raping minors all over the world yet such cases are not reported in Africa where people know Jehovah's Witnesses very well in their neighborhood!
Well if you're reading this ask for the names of Churches where gay marriage is approved not just praying for the church {Proverbs 28:9; Jeremiah 11:14} because God has given His own worshipers another group name: JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES {Isaiah 65:15} go to all the nations throughout the world you can't see a single member of this religion who is into politics {John 17:14-16} none of them is trained to kill {Matthew 26:52} and there can never ever be gay marriage in God's organization!
God bless you and may you have Peace!

APOPTOSIS:
JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told
.
BafanaBafana:
Quite true. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are actually one of the few denominations who are still following Christ. Most churches now are headed by motivational speakers who only use the name of Jesus to preach other things. The goal is to attract members to their church and the members will bring the money.
Shikena!
Oye0404:
well said, once had a witness DAT comes around for years, truth is,dis guys are so caring and accommodating. lots if misconceptions about dem..
XXLDICK:
They remain the most peaceful Christian denomination.
They do not pay tithes. They are the only Christian denomination yet to be commercialized. They are my favourite.
Cons:
They do not recite the national anthem.
They do not participate in elections.
They do not accept blood transfusion.
freethinker01:
Tho I don't like their disturbance, I'd have to say they're far better than all their Christian tithe whoring counterparts.
boss1310:
The way they are hated makes me to think sometimes they might be the true Christians but I might be wrong.
Deway52:
I am convinced that JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are the real religion, they do everything in line with the bible.
Na small time remain for me now, I don enter. If everybody in the world is a jw the world would be a better place.
Love800:
I would love to be a JEHOVAH'S WITNESS, because of their gentle life. Relaxed service and programs(not those stressful and loud types), and serenity of their church yard. Infact, its this serenity of their abode that blows my mind!

But the thing that worries me, is their misled teachings. How can you say that we are not going to die, but remain on earth and unite with our love ones and live happily together forever!
