Please this is enough Sir. Let's move on to other things ... The SE has never tasted Executive power, you get it and want to do four years, why? *Abuse is allowed* |

If obi has never been governor before, we can still take him serious. But how do u want me to believe a man who was governor of anambra state for good 8 years n the only thing he could say when asked of his achievements was go n verify haba? Same man that failed woefully as governor for 8 years in tiny anambara but today he wants to change Nigeria within 4 years. These same man promised he will never leave apga but left so how do we trust him? Same man that said he will retire corrupt politicians but now in the retirement camp of corrupt politicians ![]() I pity those who trust this guy |

If Tinubu could turn the country in a destructive direction in just 2 years, then a whole 4 years should be enough to redirect the country's path to the right direction. |

Others have been ruling since 1999 to date and Nigeria is still generating 5,000 megawatts. Obi says he wants to do one term and some are against him. Do they want Obi to be life president? Nawa for una! |

This man should go and rest. We are in this condition today because of him , Tinubu won 2023 election because of obi running from one party to another in search of presidential ticket and if time is not taking Obi is going to make Tinubu and his boys win second term Obi is more than desperate

I agree and this is right I don't need a lot of years to turn things around. I should provide an avenue for a continuation It doesn't end with me |

Nigerian failed system has so programmed people so much that when a politician speaks, they doubt him due to the decay political system. I believe Peter Obi. Even if he did not do much as expected within his 4 years, he will set the stage for the next person to run over. |

PE is absolutely right on this again! Four years of service without corruption and the need to build a selfish political agenda or block is enough to turn a country around. Tinubu could have turned things around if not for his politics of second term which started right from his first year in office. |
| Re: Peter Obi - If Service Is The Motive Turning The Tide In Four Years Is Possible by Ofunaofu: 12:20pm On Aug 05, 2025 |
Absolutely. Four years is enough to make a mark and put this country on a path to progress. Those who disagree including Daniel Bwala admit that even if given 30 years, nothing will work

The same human being that was Nelson Mandela is the same one that chose to be Osama Bin Laden. Human beings are not the same it is all down to our convictions |

No one gave him such a condition. But to appeal to people in his desperation, he gave himself such a condition that would make him sell, but overall a disadvantage to the Ndigbos. Every zone that was there had 2 terms but this man said he prefers only one with which Ndigbos will come years later to blame the people of the country for marginalization |

To them, what they cannot does not exist forgetting that where your knowledge ends is where another starts and for those that are crying for ndigbo, How many terms did Nelson Mandela rule South Africa? He has to start with one and if he performs well, then it will open up another opportunity for another Igbo person, if the issue is that four years is too short, why not clamor for an 8 years single term for the president. |

omoredia:Except it's military government, it takes time. The president is just one person, what if other arms of government choose to remain the way they are and don't share your ideals? Lets stop deceiving ourselves, Africa needs to redesign our own form of democracy that will make decision making more centralized. |

A man's antecedents often speak louder than his promises, for the footprints of yesterday are the clearest indicators of the path he is likely to tread tomorrow. For eight long years, the winds of change did not blow favourably upon Anambra State. Rather than witnessing progress, the state descended into a mire of stagnation and despair—so much so that it has become, by some accounts, one of the most difficult places to live globally. This unfortunate state of affairs has been widely attributed to the gross ineptitude, unchecked corruption, and administrative inertia of Peter Obi's leadership. What beggars belief is that the same voices who once decried his lacklustre governance and dearth of tangible achievements now seek to anoint him as a political messiah. It is a classic case of the blind leading the blind, or perhaps, as the elders say, "When the drums of deceit are beating loudest, even the wise may begin to dance out of tune." By all reasonable measures, Peter Obi’s tenure could be ranked among the most underwhelming in the annals of Nigerian gubernatorial history. May Providence deliver us from the enemy within—the one who wears the cloak of salvation but carries the dagger of betrayal. |

If 48 months can bring positive change, how come Anambra is not the model state in Nigeria? With the ability of Nnewi to fabricate anything, it would have been a hub for manufacturing in Nigeria. Buy engine and show it to Nnewi boys. Ask them to make 1,000 and you have a market already within Nigeria. Is it pot or spoons or bottles? But due to myopic leadership, Anambra is not the model state expected. Of everything a sensible person could think of, establishing a brewery was the best investment to come up with. Today, he says he wants to lift people out of poverty. How? He says he'd cultivate the fertile land in the north; how many did he cultivate as governor in Anambra? He claims he'd do only one term. Yet, he doesn't want to face a primary contest in their coalition. He wants to be handed the ticket. Ask him his template for solving insecurity, unemployment. Ask him why he condemned the coastal road project which is supporting many families through employment. He was bullied to produce a manifesto in 2022 and he claimed Tinubu copied his manifesto. How can Tinubu copy what did not exist? We need forward thinkers. We need innovative leaders. We need articulate leaders. We do not need emergency food servers and people fighting over land they claimed belonged to their brother, a brother who has not presented himself. Any serious politician would not promise one term, but would discuss solutions that would make him appealing to those whose votes they want. Discussing the solutions has become impossible because the brainpower for it is missing. They just want to win elections to tackle their own personal unemployment. Among all those doing coalition, how many of them are exactly gainfully employed? |
