what has the state got to show for this lead?

does the state boast of the best public schools and hospitals?

does the state boast of well maintained roads?

does the state boast of water supply running into the homes of its residents?

does the state boast of investments that are empowering its youths and making them assets for the future?
As much as I agree with you I can tell you its not a hard thing to get wter into your house in the Niger Delta and I cannot see where it became the responsibility of the state or FG to get water into private homes of individuals in the ND.We do that by ourselves by hand.
As for school slowly but surly. The NDDC is trying its best amidst vast corruption and stuff, I can only speak about my immediate area in PHC

With all delta wealth the state is still the most backward, underdeveloped and unproductive state, a state that should be competing with Dubai in terms of development and infrastructure.

I don't know what to say to black people 😕

There is nowhere in Africa that boast of well maintained roads let alone a state in Nigera
There is nowhere in Nigeria that boast of any of them things you mentioned
What I'm trying to say is this, no oil no NDDC,
NDDC does quite a Job in these community, I can speak for myself in PH, the build the road from scratch and its a solid road and they also are undergoing operation Light up the Niger Delta which is installation of solar street lights
They built a Teachers quarter in my Village which are flats for visiting teachers, my mum was a head teacher then she is retired now,
they do quite a bit compared to states without these agencies
But on the flip side, Im quite sure they could have done much more if not for corruption, the main cancer eating Nigeri.

Getting water into your home is now a matter for private individuals? Are you kidding me? See I'm from that same Delta State and grew up in Ughelli back in the days. We had water from Water Corporation and were billed for consumption. If you think individuals drilling borehole is normal, than I'm really sad at the level we have degenerated to

yes in the African context
Yes cos UG is far from the water table then, go there now, they all have bore holes since the technology to drill water became easier and affordable.

U see Delta and Bayelsa states...with kind of money these two state have...I don't expect their citizens to be unemployed.

How can u be this rich in oil and ur graduates are roaming the streets like wanderers.

Akwaibom is known to have good roads but it is the worst of them all. The number of unemployed victims in that state is worrisome and troubling.

They are very docile people, there are places in Akwaibom state where u see good roads but in a month, not up to 50 cars can pass there, reason is the people are very poor.

The governors can't attract investment like is being done in Enugu,Abia and Anambra statesnor even Lagos and Ogun.

I pity these three state of Delta,Akwaibom and Bayelsa.
Are you been serious? Investment in Enugu, Anambra? But your people are running away from your state to claim Lagos. In your landlocked state nobody goes out on Monday. Which LG have you stayed in Akwa Ibom State?

We only read about Ondo State's oil production output and huge allocations that follow, but we can't pinpoint any meaningful development in that state. Ondo as of today is just a conglomeration of 18 glorious villages. No infrastructure, no industrialization, no quality education, nothing nothing. The current governor is the most clueless and worst performing governor in Nigeria. Same with the cabinet and legislators. Abeg I dey vex
don't tell me you haven't noticed the high rate of killing and ritualist recently... That man nah bad luck.

Meanwhile, the useless Delta state still have nothing to show for such economic feat but have an array of hardcore looters as governors. Ifeanyi Okowa have recently joined the APC and his criminality have been cleansed by the hood witch broom.

The phantom IGR generation (via taxing the poor people in the region) that does not translate to good PGPD is the line of boasting. Educational enriched but sophisticatedly backward

The paradox of oil wealth amidst poverty in Delta, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom is a painful reality. Unless the citizens demand real reforms, and leaders shift focus from self-enrichment to strategic, inclusive development, the cycle will persist — making these resource-rich states among the poorest in human capital productivity and opportunity in Nigeria.

I don't know why you people lie to yourself.

Besides, Ondo State added 27.1 billion scf, while Anambra and Imo produced 7.4 billion scf and 6.4 billion scf respectively. Abia contributed 4.46 billion scf of gas, while Lagos also recorded zero, consistent with its performance in oil.

That's Ondo state production, it dwarf the entire SE gas production put together. Don't give us any audio stat of deposit, we are talking about what is currently being used

I want make people who ar on this thread understand something, production is different from reserve oh. If you start thinking that your state has more oil or gas deposits because it produced more, no it is wrong. In Africa for instance, Lybia has more oil deposits than Nigeria well but Nigeria produces more than Lybia
