One thing I know about SantaFe is that some of the brocs that compose the internal or external plugins into the car most times over turn the wheel and in return every dealer most times gets a spare that registers the VIN in its Pin with a large Bin

But in most cases, hitting the Highway with a GDi should be considered if it gives a gridlock weather or not

They’re not so great engines very pricey also
I’ll advice against them

Carbon build up in these engines. But if well maintained it could be great.

after reading this I was trying to decipher what I just read, then when I saw your moniker. I gave up.

What year of santa fe are you talking about

Please stay away from Hyundai GDI engines particularly the Theta II 2.0 variant. Dohc engines are way more reliable.

That year of santa fe came with a good engine. Oil change has to be synthetic. You would experience oil shortage which can be solved not necessarily by changing piston and rings like every road side mechanic does. Carry out necessary recalls/campaigns and technical service bulletins and the vehicle should servile you well. Avoid 500 naira engine oil filter. If you need technical service bulletins you can reach out. Have worked with one of the Hyindai dealerships in Canada so I know first hand info about them
