"If Donald Trump had been president in the 20th century, so much could have been avoided. World War I, World War II, the nuclear arms race, the Cold War —
Trump could have prevented all of this. After all, his last name means 'Truce.' We know that all politicians are often perceived as narcissistic.
They can be arrogant and boastful. But Trump is a step ahead — he is shamelessly narcissistic.
As a species, we should be more grateful to Trump. Thanks to his negotiations with God, the sun rises every day.
Thanks to his mediation, ships can sail the ocean. Without him, gravity would not exist."

Not my word cheesy cheesy cheesy
I know this might sound like a joke, but there are adults in USA that genuinely believe Trump is on a divine mission.

22,000 aid trucks are waiting at the crossings amid the suffering of the people of the Gaza Strip.

The occupation is deliberately preventing aid trucks from entering Gaza as part of a systematic starvation policy.
Some British doctors, based on the patern of Sniper round injuries they've noticed on Palestinian children, are convinced that the IDF is literally using them for target practice according to Pierce Morgan.

South Korean authorities dismantled loudspeakers on the border with North Korea, which transmitted broadcasts criticising the North Korean authorities.

Earlier, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung ordered the suspension of propaganda broadcasts as part of efforts to reduce tensions in relations with Pyongyang.

The US was the heart and soul of the free trade movement during the 70s, the US can be solely credited for opening up the Chinese markets to the world. President Nixon laid the groundwork with Shanghai Communique.

The US has a large economically attractive market, economically attractive in the sense that a larger percentage of it populations are high earners, this means there's a need to encourage and promote home made products.

How the current economic system continues to not only work but flourish is an enigma ? I don't know how sustainable it is in the long run.

Enter the protectionist policy

The need to promote and encourage home made products led to the US protectionist policy during the 20s.
"The 1920s US auto industry boom was significantly influenced by protectionist policies. While not the sole driver, the imposition of high import tariffs on foreign cars, starting with the Fordney-McCumber Tariff Act of 1922, shielded the domestic industry from international competition, allowing it to flourish. This protection, coupled with mass production techniques and increased consumer spending, fueled the rapid growth of the American automobile market. "

The protectionist policy encouraged all sectors of the US economy and it contributed to the early economic boom in the 20s.

This policy also partly contributed to the great depression due to retaliatory tariffs.

Why would the US want to go down that road again ?
The USA can’t go down that road again, it’s not possible, times have changed. The labour market in USA is too high compared to Asia. The USA has a massive deficit problem, previous large deficits are associated with war or economic crisis. Right now the USA government is borrowing almost the same amount they did during Covid when there was no economic activity. They are borrowing to prevent recession, Trump is trying to solve the deficit crisis with tariffs and also hoping Ai will develop new technologies to improve the economy. In a few months or years we’ll know. In my opinion they should cut spending, balance the budget, let the recession happen, the zombie companies will die and the economy will heal.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it looks very much like the recent Israel/Iran "handshake" has sent proper messages to other vassals of the US.

When push gets to shove, your country go don collect wetin no good before your mother-hen even comes to your aid😹.

Add that to the embarrassment that the Trump administration is swallowing from the Kremlin, and you just might recognize the recent posturing of so-called allies of Uncle Sam.

You are largely correct, but the Hegemony has its agents in key positions within their vassals.

The President and Defense Ministers of Philippines are incapable of independent decision making.
As is Taiwan President.

Here's an interesting tidbit.
Philippines tried to oust the VP who is the daughter of the last pro-China president-Duterte--who they recently bundled to the Hague.
Taiwan just tried to oust pro-China opposition lawmakers.

A lot is happening in the Pacific to prepare for a confrontation with the Axis.
Uncle Sam will soon twist the arms of this new SK President.
In fact, while he is taking down speakers, the US unilaterally announced that they're creating a super squadron that'll be stationed closer to NK.

At the end of World War II, on May 8, 1945, Algerians held a protest demanding independence from France. French troops responded with live gunfire and bombardment, massacring thousands of civilians

They surrendered to the Germans NAZI within 6 weeks when they faced a real army but they were murdering civilians acting like a tough nation until German NAZI showed up

⚡Czech President Pavel:

Ukraine, even with full Western support, is currently unable to liberate all occupied territories quickly without heavy loss of life.

It would be unfair for the West to push Ukraine into such an effort now—we want Ukraine to survive as a sovereign, independent nation, not face extermination.

If preserving Ukraine's independence means temporarily accepting that some territory remains occupied—without ever legally recognising it as Russian—then so be it.
What happened to this tough guy?

Won't NATO like to defeat Russia again?

⚡Niger declares Russia its main partner.

Niger has recognized Russia as its main strategic partner, emphasizing the importance of Russian support without interference, which contrasts with the approaches of Western countries.

For Europe, especially France, this means a painful loss of influence in the Sahel region.

Bro chill

I specifically asked you what part is unclear to you ?
If you're going to denigrate any country, the least you can do is pick a book or two about it, learn their strength as well as their weakness.

I believe things should be made simple not simpler, for the sake of this conversation I'll try to make it more lucid.

I made reference to a point in history when the US adopted the protectionist agenda, everything I said is fact, if you think otherwise just point out a lie and I'll unreservedly recant.

The Protectionist policy of the 1920s was effective until the 30s, the protectionist policy also played a huge part in the great depression, a period of economic hardship for the US.

Ever since the great depression, the US has championed the free trade movement and Trump going back to endorse the protectionist policy again is the opposite of what the world needs.

The current economic model the US runs is nothing short of an enigma, how sustainable it is in the long run is something we all should look forward to, more bloated or bust, we'll see.
