..the high exchange rate between naira and dollars can also cause fuel price to be expensive.. like exchange rate now is 1,530 naira to a dollar which it's high...naira stability at current exchange rate now of 1,530 naira cannot make the price of fuel to reduce..if the exchange rate is at like 300 naira to a dollar the price of fuel will be cheap and affordable for Nigerians to buy.. with 300 naira to a dollar..fuel will be sold at least 200 naira to a litre ..so the federal government should appreciate and strengthen the naira against the dollars ...

Dis news just dey sweet me for belle. Una never see anything. All of una go suffer.

This is one of the reasons that prices of goods and commodities, including services will not come down, the taxi man will not reduce his fares because he will say “ fuel fit go up tomorrow “

The corruption and greed in this sector is enough to ground this country, I will also blame the president because he's the minister of petroleum...and nobody should mention global oil price because wetin concern other countries with the crude oil in on our own land...let's not be the carpenter that makes door for the community but can't fix his own door.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

Is it not terrible that ebilokan replaced 16 years of PDP deregulation and privatisation prosperity, built on high employment productivity, with APC palliative-sharing extreme poverty?

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.

He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.

I said it last week at the presumptive price war between Dangote and marketers that it may not necessarily lead to long term price reductions. And that whoever wins will enslave everyone else.
