Ondo state still dwarf all SE gas production put together. He who God has blessed let no man envy
I'm surprised the way the guy emphasized Lagos alongside his Imo and Anambra but definitely refused to mention Ondo whose figure is more than both Imo and Anambra. See myopia in full swing.

Yes cos UG is far from the water table then, go there now, they all have bore holes since the technology to drill water became easier and affordable.
And because it's far from the water table, water should be harvested recklessly?

U see Delta and Bayelsa states...with kind of money these two state have...I don't expect their citizens to be unemployed.

How can u be this rich in oil and ur graduates are roaming the streets like wanderers.

Akwaibom is known to have good roads but it is the worst of them all. The number of unemployed victims in that state is worrisome and troubling.

They are very docile people, there are places in Akwaibom state where u see good roads but in a month, not up to 50 cars can pass there, reason is the people are very poor.

The governors can't attract investment like is being done in Enugu,Abia and Anambra statesnor even Lagos and Ogun.

I pity these three state of Delta,Akwaibom and Bayelsa.

Corpers in this states can relate well.
You can't blame them. They don't control their resources. FG do. If states are allowed to control their resources and remit a certain percentage to the federal coffers, development will spread across Nigeria like wildfire. Cos everybody will try to outdo each other. And citizens will not allow any looting governor.

That every Ochuko, Akpos, and Efe should sink a borehole. As of the late 80s, the GRA side opposite GCU already had water issues from water board. Mind you, we had steady water from Water board when we first moved there. Even Mariere Memorial had running water despite it been mostly not in use back in the day

LagosOrigin:
Lagos zero oil and gas production. .
But na dem make noise pass

Imo state produced 6.32 million barrels

Anambra produced 4.77 million barrels

Abia produced 3.41 million barrel of oil production.

Gas production
Lagos zero

Anambra produced 7.4 billion.

Imo produced 6.4 billion.

Abia produced 4.46 billion.

For the records
Imo state alone has the highest gas deposit in west Africa.

We are beginning to see the true leech state that produces zero contribution to our oil production but feeds fat from the national Treasury because of her former federal capital status.

Lagos will collapse if the federal government stop feeding her.
can this encourage igbos to stop escaping to lagos? All this oil no reach ondo state oil alone

Meanwhile, the useless Delta state still have nothing to show for such economic feat but have an array of hardcore looters as governors. Ifeanyi Okowa have recently joined the APC and his criminality have been cleansed by the hood witch broom.

The phantom IGR generation (via taxing the poor people in the region) that does not translate to good PGPD is the line of boasting. Educational enriched but sophisticatedly backward
You must state your State, then we can compare in infrastructural terms before any chance you have the means to make such statements.

Yet Delta State has nothing to show for all the huge revenue.
Only their governors ball the money.

Zoom wasting national cake from time immemorial.
Your hatred cannot even hide. When did Lagos become Federal Government. And if FGN use money to explore in other states what’s bad about that? Was it sand that was used in exploration in states currently producing? Your hatred for others is your curse.

Something must be done to end this parasitic union.
The loquacious western Nigeria must be forced to use their Lagos state to run their Odua country. I m tired.
You can not be making noise about how you don't want or like a people, but fight tooth and nail to be in the same union with them.

Easterners run this fraud of a country. Easterners produce most gas and oil. Pay most import tariffs and trade taxes . Basically generating endless funds for the baboons that chop while the monkey works.
It cannot go on like this.

Their plan is to suck the gas dry as they sucked the oil.
We must resist this
..
You’ve read them well like a book! They only want ‘one Nigeria’ to the extent that they can suck that oyel and gas from the south-south and south-east to fix up their own region fine and empower their own politicians and entrepreneurs to be on Forbes richest list!

That being said, it should be noted that their ‘smartness’ also extends to them using their domination and control of the oil and gas industry to rearrange the figures to reflect less production from the south-east states and more production for themselves! Don’t be fooled by this report showing three south-east states producing more oil than their one state. This would have been after they fiddled with the figures but realised there was only so far they could cook the books before their actions would become glaringly obvious! It’s kinda similar to what happened with rigging in Lagos during the last presidential election…..Peter Obi got such overwhelming number of votes in the state to render their rigging ineffective!

Also, notice how their one state has all of a sudden started producing more gas than IMO, Anambra and Abia combined!? Out of nowhere, what we knew to be the case regarding onshore gas production in states changed overnight! Just give them more time, and even the oil production numbers of the two regions concerned will flip! This is one of the reasons they want a continuation in government at the centre in 2027 and why they do not want a Igbo to be president!

I expect the usual suspect to use the antispam bot to hide this post so i’ll save it! wink

I can tell you for free, some of the oil from Imo and Abia State are been recorded for Rivers. Was privileged to work in the industry during my early career. Worked around Egbema, Aloji, etc
I would even go as far as to say a lot of the oil….! This is even a separate story from the one of how they sliced off hydrogen rich parts of the then East Central state and placed in the newly created Rivers state……ie, Ndoni and a large part of Egbema! I think Obigbo was removed much later!

There’s a reason why, especially since 2015, they have culled Ndigbo from the leadership and decision making ranks in the oil and gas industry, and na dem full everywhere!

Exactly my thoughts..
I have said it here many times that the way these guys keep shouting that the south-east produces almost zero oil, they are hiding a lot. They're the ones cokking and releasing these datas. There is a very good chance they have been juggling the figures while mutilating the data associated with hydrocarbons production in Nigeria. The same way the federal government through the NNPC, working with the foreign oil companies have been crediting certain amounts of oil produced in the SE to some states in the SS.

Like I siad, this was due to the fact that the technology to drill and store your own water was not readily available, and those times you are talking about the water only ran to your one or two taps in the compound not into your flat. If the oil production was to come from the brown roof region, by now they will be insulting the south south and the south east. Lagos is being developed today is as a result of the oil money from Niger delta and the south east region. The oil money from niger delta has been used to keep the lagos wharf busy all years.

The oil producing states and the mineral mining states should be made to declare their output on a monthly basis.

My state dey produce oil......only God knows if na 2 barrels or 2 million barrels per day.

Lagos is being developed and because Yoruba people have long laid a blueprint for the betterment of that state.

You are talking oil money as if before oil agriculture from Western Nigeria wasn't what supported Lagos/Nigeria.

The most developed cities in the world are cities that are closer to sea.

Water ran to ALL the taps in the house back then. ALL. And this was years after 1982.

Regarding “drinking” water all tap water in both countries are drinkable. And are centrally managed. I don’t know that many people in both countries dig a well for drinking water. The few times I’ve visited both countries, I’ve drank water directly from the tap.

All of that is beside the point though. Delta is literally the top oil producer in Nigeria. Yet we are one of the most backward. I grew up in Warri before the 97 crisis. Warri bubbled until the wee hours of the morning. Today, “Dave” and Keke have made that town an eyesore. Odidigboyobo literally has the ears of the “top man” in this country, yet nothing is being done about Warri and Sapele ports.

Oga, Ondo is SW. It's production beats the whole of the SE combined. And Lagos not producing oil tells you that Yorubas don't and won't depend on oil only. Without the oil, Lagos still generates more revenue than SE and SS combined. So what's your point?

100 million barrels of oil at just $50 per barrel is over $5bn. Let's allow $3bn for the cost of production and the profit of the oil companies, that's $2bn left. That's over N3 trillion for a state. Why Delta state isn't Dubai already is beyond my imagination.
